Some time ago,
Pope's Hall
Bibi Dong stepped out from her room after completing her 7th trial.
A loose papal robe draped over her figure, its hem brushing lightly against the cold stone floor as she walked forward.
An indescribable calmness lingered in her presence—yet beneath that calm lay a terrifying depth, like a boundless abyss waiting to awaken.
Having completed the Seventh Trial, she felt an unprecedented sense of liberation.
It was as if the invisible chains that once bound her—hatred, obsession, and inner turmoil—had all been shattered. Power surged quietly within her and she held a certainty deep in her heart: there was little left in this world that could truly hinder her.
Ton
Ton
Ton
The heavy toll of the mourning bell echoed across Spirit City.
Bibi Dong's steps paused. Her brows knit slightly, a faint crease forming between them.
"Who has died now?"
Over the past eight years, she had changed.
Since being confronted with the truth by Qian Renxue, she had gradually abandoned her earlier reckless thoughts of destroying Spirit Hall.
The hatred that once consumed her had been forced into clarity, stripped bare until only cold reason remained. Under her governance, Spirit City had flourished, rising to heights never seen before. Order, strength, and prosperity coexisted in a delicate balance that only she could maintain.
And yet—There remained a faint, lingering regret in her heart.
She knew that Qian Renxue still lived from the fragments of information she had scoured while talking with the Rakhshasa Goddess, and that knowledge, instead of easing her heart, only deepened the ache.
Bibi Dong slowly clenched her hand.
The air around her seemed to distort slightly as invisible force gathered in her palm.
Within her body, divine power coursed like a silent tide—vast, restrained, yet overwhelming. It was not merely strength, but authority, a nascent dominion that had begun to take shape.
"With this power…" she thought, her gaze turning distant, "it won't be long before I can find her."
"And when I do… perhaps everything can be set right."
The thought lingered, fragile yet resolute.
At that very moment—From beneath her feet, a strange radiance began to rise.
One after another, seven soul rings emerged—not the usual colors of spirit masters, but deep, ominous purple, each one carrying an unsettling aura. They ascended slowly, arranging themselves behind her head in perfect alignment, like a silent halo of power.
Bibi Dong was at the level of Wild God at this moment, Angela had used the method of God Trials to give Bibi Dong a chance to integrate authority of Seven Sin Gods.
Bibi Dong had somehow completed it , which had shocked the Seven Sin Gods. They never knew it was Qian Renxue was silently using the subconscious of Douluo Comtinent to concentrate the manifestation of sin in Bibi Dong. (Mentioned in Chapter 470)
Bibi Dong never knew that it was her daughter who had pushed her so much that she was ready to form an embryonic form of her own Godhood based on sin itself.
Bibi Dong did not dwell for long as she felt the power coursing in her body
" First , I need to check out who has died."
Her figure vanished from the Papal Hall like a wisp of smoke carried away by the wind.
A moment later Bibi Dong was already standing within a silent chamber, where white drapes hung like mourning veils. At the center lay Hu Liena's body, unmoving, her once-vibrant presence reduced to stillness.
Bibi Dong stepped forward slowly. Each step felt heavier than the last, yet her expression remained composed. Only the slight tremor in her fingers betrayed the storm raging within.
She looked down at Hu Liena, her gaze lingering on the faint traces of battle that could not be erased. For a long moment, she said nothing.
Memories surfaced unbidden.
The first time she had taken Hu Liena as her disciple. The stubborn determination in her eyes. The pride she had felt watching her grow stronger, step by step, becoming the Holy Maiden of Spirit Hall.
In those years clouded by hatred and confusion, Hu Liena had unknowingly filled a void that Bibi Dong herself had refused to acknowledge. When she was ignorant and had kept Qian Renxue away from her, she had taken Hu Liena as her disciple. She had poured some of her motherly love in her, in a way Hu Liena was like her adoptive daughter.
A fragment of something long suppressed stirred in Bibi Dong's chest.
"...Nana…"
Her hand slowly rose, hovering just above Hu Liena's forehead, but she did not touch her. For a fleeting moment, hesitation appeared—something entirely out of place on the Pope of Spirit Hall.
Then her fingers curled slightly, and that hesitation vanished.
Her eyes hardened. The grief did not disappear. It sank deeper, transforming—condensing into something far more dangerous.
A suffocating pressure began to spread from her body, silent at first, then overwhelming. The space around her seemed to distort faintly, unable to bear the weight of her presence.
She had just broken through, stepping into the realm of a Wild God, believing that she had finally grasped the power to reshape everything.
And yet, in the very next moment, fate had taken something from her.
A low, cold laugh escaped her lips, devoid of warmth.
"Who…Give me a name"
Her voice was calm, but the fury beneath it churned like an abyss.
An aide on the side said tremblingly "Clear Sky Clan…Tang San"
Bibi Dong repeated the same words with ,with a voice filled with uncontrollable fury
"CLEAR SKY CLAN!!! TANG SAN"
Each syllable struck like thunder, reverberating through the hall. The pressure erupted fully now, surging outward in violent waves. The attendants outside collapsed to their knees, unable to withstand even a fraction of it.
(Next Chapter : A guess on what Qian Renxue was planning, but it dosen't seem it is going perfectly)
