Chapter 2 - Unnamed

When Dave opened his eyes, he was greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of his bedroom. The walls were adorned with posters of his favorite bands—Nirvana, Green Day, and Linkin Park—each one a reminder of his youthful dreams and aspirations. The scent of fresh paint lingered in the air, a recent renovation that had transformed the room into a vibrant space filled with memories. Sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on the wooden floor, and for a moment, he felt a wave of nostalgia wash over him.

Confused, he sat up in bed, his heart racing. "Did I go back in time?" he muttered to himself, recalling a novel he had read about time travel. The realization hit him like a bolt of lightning: it was the summer of 2010, a time before he had become the CEO of Apple Inc., before the relentless pressures of success had consumed him.

Overwhelmed with emotions, Dave felt a mix of nostalgia and fear. He had a second chance, but what would he do with it? Memories flooded his mind—mistakes he had made, relationships he had neglected, and the pursuit of success that had led him to a lonely existence. The weight of his past choices pressed heavily on his shoulders, but the prospect of starting anew ignited a spark of hope within him.

Determined to make the most of this opportunity, Dave stood up, his resolve solidifying. "Since I've been given a second chance, I will make sure I dominate this world," he declared to himself, a newfound determination in his voice.

As he stepped out of his bedroom and into the hallway, he felt a strange energy coursing through his body. It was as if he were lighter, faster, and more agile than he had ever been. He rushed down the stairs, his feet barely touching the ground, and burst through the back door into the garden. The vibrant colors of the flowers and the lush greenery filled him with a sense of vitality he hadn't felt in years.

He paused to take in the beauty of his surroundings, the chirping of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves creating a symphony of nature. Then, an idea struck him. He remembered that in 2010, many people had not yet started investing in cryptocurrencies, and he realized this was a golden opportunity for a comeback.

Overwhelmed with happiness, he felt an exhilarating rush. "Impossibly!" he exclaimed, staring at his hands in astonishment. "I have superpowers!" The thought sent a thrill through him, and he couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.

Curiosity piqued, he decided to test his newfound abilities. He walked up to a sturdy oak tree in the garden, its trunk thick and gnarled. With a determined look on his face, he threw a punch at the tree, channeling all his energy into the strike.

"Rumble!" The sound echoed through the garden as the tree snapped in half, crashing to the ground with a resounding thud. Dave stood there, wide-eyed, staring at the fallen tree and then at his fist. "Holy f**k…" he gasped, disbelief washing over him. To his astonishment, there was no injury on his hand; it was as if he had struck a pillow instead of a solid trunk.

"Tell me this is a dream," he exclaimed, still in shock. Dave had always been known for his laziness at the gym; the money he had spent on memberships felt wasted as he struggled to keep up with the requirements. But now, he felt invincible.

"Ha ha ha!" he laughed, the sound echoing in the stillness of the garden. "The heavens really have eyes!" His heart raced with excitement, but then a thought struck him. "Wait a minute… where are my glasses?"

He suddenly remembered that he had been diagnosed with an eye defect since high school and had worn glasses for as long as he could remember. Yet, here he was, standing in the bright sunlight without them, seeing everything clearly. He blinked in disbelief, looking around at the vibrant colors of the flowers and the details of the leaves.

"Is this real?" he wondered aloud, a smile spreading across his face. The world felt sharper, more vivid, and he realized that this second chance was not just about time travel; it was about rediscovering himself and embracing the possibilities that lay ahead.

With renewed determination, Dave took a deep breath, feeling the warmth of the sun on his skin.
