"I must admit those guys didn't make it easy for you to escape. Their report states that they searched for every newborn child, including all preborn children. Finally, a year and three months after Roger's execution, you were born. I must admit that when you told me you were Roger's child, it took me a while to believe you. I guess your mother made the old man promise to look after you."
"I hope you didn't come here to tell me about my life's history, especially a history I already know about. How about you tell me how Sabo is doing?"
"He's doing well, and he's no longer a brat you could push around; he might be able to beat you now."
"I wouldn't be so sure, Dragon. I'm not such a pushover, anyone can just defeat he should have told you that."
That's right, the person I'm talking to is Monkey D. Dragon, the leader of the revolutionary army and also Luffy's father.
"Yeah, he told me that even though he got stronger than he believed possible, defeating you wouldn't be an easy feat. I thought he was giving you too much credit, but looking at you now, it seems he was right. You're nothing to laugh at, even without Haki."
"It seems after all of these years, he's still brilliant, but aren't you going to ask about Luffy?"
"I have been here since yesterday. I had time to check on him. It seems he's incredibly energetic, and he seems dead set on becoming a pirate, huh.
"That's right, the plan is for him to set sail at the age of seventeen, just like me. His goal is to be king of the pirates."
"I see the pirate king, huh? That's fine with me."
"Well, you've had about seven years to look for them. Did you find them or not?"
"Yes, I have them, well not exactly, I have two of them here, you go, I looked everywhere to see if I could find it, but I couldn't even find a trace of it like it was never on our radar, that's impossible unless the devil fruit is somewhere in the new world."
"Well, it's all right, I would've been more surprised if you had found it's quite a unique devil fruit. Well enough about that for now, they say that Roger was known by all and feared by all. The only people who could routinely stand up to him are the strongest man in the world, Whitebeard, and the marine hero, Garp, and he did all that with no devil fruit, just this."
Seven years ago, before the Celestial Dragon came to the Goa kingdom, I met Dragon. I told him to look after Sabo, and I'll look after Luffy. I also asked him to track down Roger's sword, Ace, and the two Devil Fruits. Somehow, I knew he wouldn't find that devil fruit. Well, life things are never so easy.
