Chapter 191 - Where Snow Remembers the Flame

Some truths are never meant to surface.

Some words exist only to be written, never spoken aloud.

Just like.....

Betrayal can never birth truth.

Poison can never taste sweet.

Nature, no matter how beautiful, always hides a terrifying face beneath.

And so did the past.

Flashback .... 200 Years Ago

Pieces of a broken truth lay buried beneath the weight of silence.

The flashback begins...

Dim lanterns of forgotten reality flicker in the mist of memory...

---

Xuemo Sect....

A battlefield soaked in blood.

A realm on the brink of annihilation.

And amidst it all

Mo Yan, bloodied, wounded, breath shallow...

Yet his eyes smiled.

Even as his life began to slip,

his gaze remained fixed upon Yu Sui.

---

The venom of the cursed blade was spreading fast.

Death was certain.

But for Mo Yan…

Just seeing Yu Sui was peace enough.

The pain faded as he looked upon him.

Like a dry leaf,

whispering its final goodbye to the branch,

hoping a beautiful new leaf might take its place one day.

That was his final prayer.

With a soft, broken smile,

Mo Yan took his last breath....

gazing at the one he loved.

Just like how grass withers before the first snow,

he collapsed quietly…

and was no more.

---

Yu Sui, who watched him die…

His heart.

His soul.

His mind....

All shattered at once.

It wasn't Mo Yan who died.

It was Yu Sui's soul.

His eyes burned with sorrow, wrath, madness...

and a love so sacred,

it defied all human and spiritual laws.

---

Yu Sui could barely move.

His body broken.

But his pain was deeper....

Mo Yan had taken what little strength he had left.

But it wasn't over.

No one...no one....could touch Mo Yan and walk away.

Not while Yu Sui still breathed.

---

With trembling fury,

Yu Sui closed his eyes...

And awakened the most forbidden, most dangerous black incantation

his cursed soul had ever prepared.

A curse etched in his own blood....

a spell so lethal, even death feared it.

---

He had splattered his blood all across the battlefield....

For this moment.

The spell ignited.

His soul roared out of his chest.

As per the incantation,

Wherever Yu Sui's blood and Mo Yan's blood mingled.....

That place would be devoured by the cursed soul.

And so it began.

Like a beast unleashed from eternal chains....

It devoured them all.

From Su Nian's stepmother to the last surviving soldier.

From Wui Guan to officials of the Ming Jing Men Sect.

No mercy.

No forgiveness.

Just a hunger born of grief.

Only those who had hidden themselves....

deep in shadow and prayer....survived that night.

And finally....

Yu Sui drew his last breath.

And left the world…

Like finally the dried leaf says goodbye to the branch and falls off so that space can be made for a new leaf.

---

But his soul had one final path.

It drifted…

higher…

darker…

It ascended all the way to Black Heaven.

There, waiting in silence, was Wuzu....

guardian of the Black Heaven Throne.

She watched in stillness…

As Yu Sui's soul merged with the Black Throne.

And in that moment, it became clear:

Yu Sui wasn't just a wielder of power.

He was the vessel.

The destined heir.

The soul that Black Heaven had always awaited.

And now… it had returned to him.
