Chapter 243 - Chapter 243: SSS-Grade Ingredient – Frozen Feather

After Qin Shu, it was Jirachi, Victini, and Mew's turn to appear.

If it had just been Jirachi and Victini, it would have been no problem.

But with Mew joining in, Lin Feng couldn't help but warn them, "Don't mess up anyone's battle or challenge, okay?"

He didn't know if they had heard him, but in the blink of an eye, they disappeared.

Still, since he had already given the warning, Mew probably wouldn't cause any trouble.

Lin Feng took a deep breath of the morning air and walked toward the kitchen.

Then he took out the feather that Meow had brought…

The first thing that caught his eye was the translucent feather of Articuno.

The feather was long, slightly shorter than Lin Feng's forearm, making it hard to imagine just how large a Pokémon with such feathers must be.

It was at least twice the length of Fiyang's Moltres feather.

Lin Feng recalled seeing official Pokémon data in his past life—Articuno's height was only a little over one meter, wasn't it?

Not even two meters.

How was that possible now?

The feather was already enormous.

The moment it rested in Lin Feng's hand, a wave of cold instantly spread through him. The energy within the feather surged up his arm and condensed into a thin layer of frost on his hand.

"The energy is incredibly abundant," he exclaimed.

As expected of the Ice Legendary, even a single feather contained immense power.

This also piqued his interest in the dish he was about to create.

He hadn't forgotten that Alolan Vulpix had once muttered about wanting to challenge Rayquaza someday.

Ambitious goals require preparation.

What should I make?

He gazed at the sacred Articuno feather in his hand.

After a moment of thought, he realized that though the feather looked huge, once ground into powder, its volume would shrink drastically.

Just like Mew's eyelashes, once ground, they practically disappeared.

This time, however, Lin Feng decided not to turn it into an energy cube.

Since his only Ice-type Pokémon was Alolan Vulpix, he planned to make it into a dish it loved.

If asked what Alolan Vulpix loved most, one answer would be fish.

It had a particular fondness for bass. Ever since tasting fish for the first time, it had been enchanted by the flavor, even diving into the reservoir to catch its own meals.

Once it caught a fish, it would carry it to Lin Feng, begging him to cook it.

Sometimes, it even asked Brionne to herd the fish, increasing their catch.

If the fish were injured, it would request Milotic to heal them with a Life Dew, then place them in a bucket to keep them alive.

Thanks to its efforts, the reservoir no longer had any other fish hiding away.

Fruit salad was also a favorite dish among the group.

Chilled fruit salad, especially, was one of Alolan Vulpix's top picks.

"Alright, I'll ask first," Lin Feng decided.

Since appetite changes with mood, it was best to check what the Vulpix wanted now.

He quickly found Alolan Vulpix playing in the garden.

"Ying…yingying?"

When the Vulpix learned that he was preparing a special dish for it, its eyes lit up.

"Then, my dear, what would you like for lunch?"

Lin Feng picked it up and stroked its fur.

"Eee! Fish! I want fish!"

Alolan Vulpix responded quickly.

"Alright, alright…" Lin Feng shook his head. "Then catch it yourself and bring it back to the kitchen."

With that, he put it down.

Alolan Vulpix dashed to the reservoir.

Lin Feng returned to the kitchen, but before grinding the Articuno feather, he called Gardevoir over.

He asked it to use its Telekinesis to protect the kitchen utensils.

The legendary bird feather was slightly different from Mew's eyelashes.

Its energy was so potent that Lin Feng worried crushing it might trigger unexpected effects. Having Gardevoir shield the area mentally was safer.

Indeed, when the feather went into the berry blender, a strong blast of cold air erupted from the opening.

The chill was so intense that Lin Feng felt as if he had been transported into an ice world.

The room's temperature dropped rapidly.

The blender protested, slowing its speed slightly, struggling to process the feather.

Fortunately, the chill only surged while the feather broke, after which it was ground into powder obediently.

"Gardevoir?"

Gardevoir looked at Lin Feng with concern, worried that the sudden blast of cold might harm him.

Lin Feng patted his chest. "Don't worry, I'm healthy!"

Still, Gardevoir lingered a moment, keeping its hands on his shoulders to make sure he was okay before finally relaxing.

The sudden cold had startled her.

Just then, Alolan Vulpix returned from outside.

It shivered upon entering, its fur puffing up all over.

A plump bass dangled from its mouth, though a thin layer of ice had already formed on the fish's upper surface.

Placing the fish down, the Vulpix was puzzled by the powerful Ice-type energy filling the kitchen.

"Eee? Eeeeee?" (What is happening?)

Lin Feng explained, "I'm preparing a dish that will make you stronger! Didn't you say you wanted to defeat Rayquaza?"

"✪ω✪ Eeeeee!"

Alolan Vulpix's eyes sparkled.

With such abundant energy, plus the fish, the dish was bound to be incredible.

"Yingyingying!"

It could barely wait to eat.

Click.

The blender, originally used for mixing berries, stopped operating.

A pile of icy blue powder had accumulated beneath it.

The once huge feather, now ground into powder, barely filled a handful.

Lin Feng carefully swept it into a glass jar, inspecting it meticulously.

"SSS+ grade ingredient—powder made from Articuno feather. Energy is evenly distributed. Perfect for Ice-type cuisine."
