Chapter 12 - Clearing Out a Warehouse Worth Billions!

Leo Zane had the delivery guy drop off 100 giant water tanks at his place.

Then he went around the house, turning on every faucet to fill those tanks with water.

At that pace, he'd have all 100 tanks filled in about a week.

Day after day, Leo didn't rest for a second.

He spent every penny in his pocket without holding back.

Every meal was at the finest restaurants in town.

Then he'd buy huge amounts of food from top-tier restaurants, storing it all in his pocket dimension.

Meanwhile, every day he headed to the shooting range in Tianhai City to practice bow, crossbow, and firearm shooting, working hard to improve his skills.

Sure, becoming a combat master in just one month was unrealistic.

But armed with bows, guns, and a super-safe all-metal safehouse, he wouldn't fear any threat that might come knocking.

Of course, everyone around noticed his actions.

But they all treated Leo like a joke, thinking he'd lost it mentally, quietly mocking him behind his back.

Even Fang Yuqing deliberately distanced herself, avoiding any real interaction with him.

Time passed.

Twenty days flew by. The apocalypse was fast approaching.

Leo had amassed an enormous stockpile: food, weapons, heating equipment—you name it.

Still, none of it gave him the safety he craved.

He decided to target the massive Walmart warehouse.

If he could take that place over, he'd have enough supplies to last ten lifetimes.

So Leo returned to work at the warehouse as usual.

Walmart's warehouse was staffed 24/7, but only about 10 people worked overnight.

Leo chose the simplest, most brutal plan: slip sleeping pills into their tea.

With less than a week to the end times, he didn't care if anyone found out it was him.

Since these people were his longtime colleagues, the plan went off without a hitch.

Once the drugs kicked in, everyone fell into a deep sleep.

Leo then slipped into the security room and shut down all the surveillance cameras.

With everything clear, he rushed into the warehouse.

Staring at the vast space before him, Leo took a deep breath and started grabbing supplies.

Whenever his right eye scanned a shelf, a thought was all it took—the entire shelf vanished into his pocket dimension.

He first hit the beverage section.

Tens of thousands of tons of bottled water, soft drinks, and alcohol—lots of high-end wine and imported spirits.

Leo didn't discriminate—he loaded it all into his warehouse.

Within minutes, thousands of cubic meters of drinks disappeared from the shelves.

Next, the fuel section.

Here were thousands of boxes of smokeless coal and barrels of gasoline and alcohol.

All household-sized—for family storage or camping trips.

Just the smokeless coal alone totaled tens of thousands of boxes, not to mention the solid alcohol and gasoline barrels.

Leo could personally use these for a hundred years and never run out.

He scooped it all up without hesitation, then used his years of warehousing expertise to neatly organize the items by category inside his pocket dimension for easy access.

Step three: the food section.

The quantity here was even more staggering—tens of thousands of tons!

Canned foods, roasted chicken and duck, puffed snacks, instant meals, premium treats…

Leo ate like a king, grabbing whatever he could get his hands on.

After food, he moved on to sports equipment.

Exercise gear was a must-have in his safehouse.

Though his safehouse space was limited, the pocket dimension was infinite—why hold back?

Among the equipment were baseball bats and fencing swords—both excellent melee weapons.

During his haul, Leo also discovered some specialty items.

Ski and mountaineering gear, including professional-grade cold weather suits used by national athletes.

These suits could withstand temperatures below -100°C!

Leo's eyes lit up.

Once the icy apocalypse hit, these would be the ultimate cold-proof gear.

He didn't hesitate—he took dozens of sets of these top-tier cold weather suits and sleeping bags.

After two solid hours, Leo had single-handedly emptied the Walmart warehouse covering millions of square meters.

Looking at the now empty, cavernous warehouse, Leo felt a deep satisfaction.

Now, no matter how brutal the Ice Age became, he could survive in comfort.

Returning to his post, Leo casually drank some of the spiked tea himself and soon dozed off at his desk.

No one knew how long passed before he was shaken awake urgently.

"Boss! Boss! Something big happened! Wake up!"

Leo slowly opened his eyes, dazed, staring at the coworkers around him.

"What's going on?"

One warehouse worker trembled, pointing toward the storage area.

"Ghosts! Someone emptied our entire warehouse!"

"What?!"

Leo was shocked. He slapped the table and stood up.

Feigning surprise, he walked to the warehouse and saw the empty shelves as expected.

Inside, Leo knew exactly what had happened.

Still, he feigned weakness and asked in a trembling voice, "What in the world happened? How did all the goods just vanish?!"

The others looked pale and worried.

"Yes, the warehouse held at least ten billion yuan worth of supplies! Even if you hauled it out with trucks, it'd take days. How could it disappear in a blink?"

No one mentioned the fact that they had all been napping on the night shift.

Sleeping a bit while working nights was common.

Leo paced anxiously, then said, "This is beyond us. We need to call the higher-ups."

Though anxious, no one really panicked.

The mess was too big for them to handle.

Making a few thousand yuan a month, no one here cared enough to risk trouble for the company.

Everyone agreed.

This disaster? Let the bosses handle it.

Leo immediately called the warehouse manager to report.

The manager was stunned, thinking Leo was joking at first.
