Chapter 104 - Chapter 103 - Cause and Effect (I)

Clotho wove the thread of life, saw the mortal's life begin, and finally, its end. It was a short life, as he was a baby, but he would die young. However, he would be much loved until the last moments of his life. She felt no pity or regret upon seeing this.

Suddenly, the goddess of destiny's eyes lifted, staring at the woman with long red hair before her. With every step she took, she saw her own death. The pale blue spear piercing her heart as she drowned in her own blood.

Sighing, she continued to weave the threads of life one after another, unconcerned with the arrival of the Goddess of Discord. 'Father God, I will return to your arms sooner than expected...' She thought as she stroked the thread of life as if it were a precious work of art.

As for being reborn, she never had that idea. The god of the Underworld would never let her be reborn. She and her sisters had made countless enemies, especially Hades.

Lachesis and Atropos stared at the woman with smiles on their lips; the arrival of the personification of chaos and discord was the first step of their revenge.

"My sweet Eris, it's been a while since we last saw each other." Lachesis, the second oldest of the sisters of destiny, spoke with a gentle tone. Any god, even them, the goddesses of destiny, had to be respectful of Eris.

After all, having a good mother was a very good thing, especially if that mother has the ability to destroy the immortality of the Greek gods.

"I heard Themis died, my condolences." Eris said with a smile; she didn't seem sad about causing the death of her own friend.

Clotho stopped weaving her threads and stared coldly at the Personification of Discord. The accomplice to her mother's murder dares to say that to her face?

"Eris-" When Clotho was about to speak and curse the goddess, she felt her body stiffen, unable to speak or even move. Only her eyes could move. Looking down, she saw the weapon of her older sister, Atropos, around her body. It was a silver rope that could prevent even a God King from moving for a few seconds.

A few seconds might seem like little, but if Zeus stood still for a few seconds in front of Odin, he would turn into a Swiss cheese with as many holes as his body would have, so the Divine Weapon of the Goddess of Destiny was extremely powerful.

Eris knew what Clotho would say, but she didn't care. She warned Themis not to believe her; the woman trusted her and died. She felt no guilt or anything else about it. It was Themis's destiny to die so that she could meet Godwyn.

"We knew of your coming, Noble Daughter of the Night." Atropos spoke with her aged, hoarse voice full of coldness. "We will give you a weapon capable of killing Thalia Grace."

Eris showed a satisfied expression with Atropos's words. She couldn't kill Thalia personally, or Godwyn would hate her. How could she accept such a result? So, Thalia had to die, but she couldn't be involved.

"What weapon?" Eris asked curiously. She was curious about the weapon capable of killing the Daughter of Zeus, who had become a foreign goddess.

"A son." Atropos spoke with a cold smile, as if imagining who Godwyn would choose in moments of danger, Thalia or his own son.

Eris smiled, but her smile looked terrifying. She might be obsessed with Godwyn, but that doesn't mean she became stupid. As the Personification of the Concept of Discord, she didn't like being the weapon for the Goddesses of Destiny to take revenge.

Eris's red hair began to float in the air uncontrollably; ruptures in space tinged the world around red; the concept of discord and chaos was changing the laws of the world. If Eris wanted, even the mere concept of direction would be altered.

"Do you dare to use me to hurt my beloved...?" Eris asked with a cold and terrifying laugh. She advanced and held Atropos's neck with one of her hands. The large, sharp, red-painted nails pierced the aged skin of the goddess of destiny.

"Who gave you the courage?" She said with an almost insane tone.

"He is mine, all mine; only I can hurt him."

"How dare you, mere reflections and slaves of the River of Destiny, hurt what I love."

"I will erase you from existence if you dare to touch Godwyn."

Eris's body deformed, turning into a terrifying monster of a thousand mouths and eyes; it looked like a substance resembling dense blood like mercury. Only Eris's hand remained human, holding Atropos's neck tightly.

Atropos narrowed her eyes, feeling that things had become complicated. She didn't think Eris could be so in love with Godwyn; this was a big problem.

"I will not hurt your beloved, Daughter of the Night." Atropos spoke with a cold tone. A feeling of humiliation sprouted in her heart. She felt fear, just as she felt fear in front of Godwyn. However, just as she didn't dare to show her anger and humiliation, she also didn't dare to show her anger towards this crazy goddess.

"Do you think you're smart?" Eris said, her voice seeming to split into thousands of voices at the same time. A cruel laugh sounded as the Goddess of Discord stopped being a monster and returned to her human form. Her long hair came to life as it stroked Atropos's old, dry skin.

"But I'm curious about what you said about a son." Eris said with a smile, her sharp nail sliding over the wrinkled and ugly skin, leaving a trail of blood wherever it passed. "Tell me, how will I have a son with my beloved?"

"The blood of both of you can form a child with a powerful destiny." Atropos didn't hesitate to speak, her voice tinged with a touch of hidden coldness.

Eris seemed thoughtful and nodded. She released Atropos as if she were trash and smiled beautifully. Looking at the three goddesses of destiny, the Goddess entered a red rift in space, but her voice still lingered in the air.

"If I find out that you touched a single hair on his head, I will personally send you into the arms of Chaos. That is a promise in the name of my grandfather."

The Greek universe recognized the promise; a golden thread linked Eris and the Three Gods of Destiny, showing how serious the goddess of discord was.

Chaos, who was in the Garden of Eden, looked in the direction where the conversation had just ended and smiled curiously. "What a crazy little granddaughter... Should I warn Godwyn? No, let the boy suffer a little; only someone mature can survive longer."

Chaos had the option to tell, but he chose to remain silent. Strong people are forged in the flames of war, just as a blacksmith hammers to remove impurities. Chaos needed Godwyn as a sharp and deadly sword.

"Don't blame me, Godwyn; if you want to wear the crown, you must bear its weight." Chaos murmured to himself. In his eyes, in Godwyn's long immortal life, this would be nothing more than an episode he would remember with nostalgia in the future.

Returning to the place where the Three Goddesses of Destiny were.

Clotho finally managed to move and looked furiously at Atropos and Lachesis. "How dare you talk to the accomplice of our mother's murderer!!!"

"Are you so afraid of death that you forgot how much she protected and loved us? How much she fought for us? If it weren't for her, we would be trapped on Olympus, unable to leave or see the world!!! Is this how you repay her love!?"

"YOU COWARDLY GODDESSES, I AM ASHAMED TO BE YOUR SISTER!!!"

Clotho was completely furious. She could accept that she would die for Godwyn, but she would not accept getting involved with the accomplice of her mother's death. If it weren't for Eris, Themis would not have died so easily.

Atropos and Lachesis remained silent; both sat down again and started working again, with no intention of responding to Clotho's words.

Was it wrong for them to want to live? Was it wrong for them to fight to live? Was it wrong to fight against destiny? Was it wrong to be afraid of death?

Clotho was breathing heavily, her chest rising and falling rapidly; she was truly furious. "Do you think this son will save you? Believe me, he will not hesitate to kill this blood abomination you are planning to create."

Atropos and Lachesis did not believe Clotho's words. Knowing how sentimental Godwyn was, they knew that the young god would accept his son!
