"L–Lord!" a panicked voice shouted.
From afar, aboard Fosfite's battleship, the crew watching the fight trembled uncontrollably when they saw an enormous thundercloud forming above, descending toward their fleet near the coast of the Sabaody Archipelago.
Hearing the outcry, Fosfite snatched the telescope from a crewman and looked through it.
Through the lens, he saw a massive, world-shaking thundercloud slowly descending toward the shore. Beneath it were the warships he had dispatched. Under Fosfite's gaze, the enormous cloud touched the ship masts—lightning instantly began crackling and surging violently.
"Hahahaha! I am Enel, God of Thunder of the Grey Dominion, a core member of the BloodSworn Guard!" Enel laughed arrogantly from atop the spherical thundercloud.
"How can this be?" panic spread across the battleships.
"God—run! If that thing falls, we'll be dead for sure!" someone shouted, trying desperately to flee.
"It's too late! That massive thunderball—there's no way to escape it!" another yelled in despair.
"I'm such an idiot! I should've run long ago… No, I should never have come here to fight the Dragon King!" one man wailed regretfully.
"Thunder Welcome!" Enel sneered coldly atop the massive cloud. In an instant, the gigantic black thunderball dropped swiftly and exploded with tremendous force.
Lightning raged wildly, bursting from the thundercloud in a blinding flash that consumed everything.
"This… this can't be real!" a reporter gasped, collapsing to the ground.
When the searing light faded, everyone looked again—where once there had been thousands of warships of all sizes, now there was nothing.
Only scattered, broken debris floated on the sea, the last proof those ships had ever existed.
Residual lightning still flickered across the waves, zapping the sea surface; countless fish floated Berries-up, lifeless.
"Gone…? Thousands of ships and all those aboard—gone in an instant?" another reporter murmured, dropping his notebook and pen without realizing it.
"The Rumble-Rumble Fruit… said to be the most offensive power among all Logia fruits… It's terrifying," a journalist holding a camera Den Den Mushi whispered, forgetting to even take a picture.
"This is the power to destroy the world…" a civilian muttered in disbelief.
"Haha! What a magnificent sight!" Enel laughed, gazing proudly at the sea wiped clean by thunder.
"Oh my, that really is terrifying," Kizaru said lightly.
"It's as expected," Tsuru remarked. "They call it the most powerful Logia fruit for a reason. But to think that young Enel has developed it to this degree—and that such a man would willingly serve under Rosinante."
Garp nodded gravely. "There's no denying it—Rosinante's power has already taken shape. In terms of overall might, even the Whitebeard Pirates might not outmatch them. With Katakuri, Bins, and now Enel among his core, plus the captains of his numerous divisions, he's earned the right to be called an Emperor of the Seas."
Hearing that, Akainu's face darkened. His fists clenched tightly, magma bubbling from them in silent fury.
Elsewhere, Dark Thorn and his men stared, stunned into silence.
Before they could even speak, Enel moved again.
He raised his hand, and the remaining thunderclouds in the sky began shifting shape—transforming into countless smaller, baseball-sized thunder spheres. They looked just like the previous "Thunder Welcome," only much smaller.
"Hah!" Lightning crackled violently around Enel as he charged the tiny spheres, infusing each with intense electric energy until they turned into small, dark orbs.
"Thunder Welcome Cannon!" Enel roared.
The miniature thunderballs flashed, then shot off as streaks of orange light.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!" Explosions echoed from afar.
"That's—Lord Rosinante's position!" Dark Thorn's face changed drastically.
"They've known where he is all along," Oni Warrior said coldly.
"Hmph, how laughable. The Lord thought he could seize the Grey Dominion's treasure, when in truth this entire war is nothing but a one-sided massacre," Oni Warrior scoffed.
Under Fosfite's horrified gaze, the second wave of Thunder Welcomes rained down from the sky, annihilating everything.
In moments, his entire fleet—along with the cargo ships chartered from the Sea Transport King—was obliterated. Over a thousand vessels vanished as if they had never existed.
He collapsed onto the deck, face pale, trembling in disbelief.
Panicking, he grabbed the telescope again, hoping it was all a dream, that this wasn't real.
But when he looked again toward Sabaody, he saw more of the small thunder spheres, each one flickering with deadly light before shooting toward him like fiery orange comets.
Before he could even process it, one struck his ship.
The explosion engulfed everything in blinding lightning.
More Thunder Cannons followed, ripping through the air with deafening roars, smashing into the battleship one after another.
Fosfite didn't even have time to scream. One of the blasts hit him directly, hurling him into the mast with crushing force before his consciousness faded away.
A series of violent explosions followed—boom, boom, boom!—and his flagship was torn apart.
Thus perished Fosfite, the self-proclaimed ruler of the underworld, erased by Enel's lightning from the face of the sea.
Nearby, several pirate ships from the New World met the same fate.
Even seasoned veterans of countless storms stood no chance before the endless Thunder Cannons. Some powerful pirates jumped overboard in desperation, but the lightning continued to rain down—few, if any, escaped alive.
"Forget it. Once you officially join the BloodSworn Guard's core, I'll teach you a proper lesson," Enel muttered, turning his gaze toward another direction. He started to raise his hand but stopped.
In that direction, a small boat drifted—a slender figure cloaked in black raised her head to meet Enel's eyes.
"So this really is a gathering place for monsters… maybe there's a place for me here too," she said softly. "I wonder what it would be like to live as an ordinary person. I'm actually curious."
If anyone had seen her face, they would have gasped in shock—for the legendary "Reaper" of the underworld… was actually a girl.
