Chapter 270 - Chapter 270: Pressure from the Powerful Figure Behind Roswald

With that voice, a group of people slowly approached. Leading them was a man draped in a flamboyant pink feathered coat, striding forward with his signature splayed gait.

There was no need to guess. It was Doflamingo. The shout just now had come from him.

When Roswald saw Doflamingo appear, he finally stopped firing his gun. Instead, he looked over with a disdainful expression.

"Doflamingo? Where's your little brother Rosinante? You can't make decisions here. Why don't you call him out? What, did he get scared and hide away?" Roswald sneered as he looked at Doflamingo walking toward him.

Hearing those words, veins bulged on Doflamingo's forehead.

"Heh heh heh, Saint Roswald, don't go too far. Today is the grand opening of the City of Nightless. If you really cause trouble today, I can't guarantee this will end peacefully," Doflamingo said coldly, his powerful presence pressing down toward Roswald as he spoke.

At that very moment, two figures instantly appeared in front of Roswald, effortlessly blocking Doflamingo's pressure.

Both of them wore strange masks that concealed their faces completely. Although they did not possess the overwhelming Conqueror's Haki like Doflamingo, the aura they naturally emanated was enough to firmly withstand his.

"Kid, casually releasing Conqueror's Haki like that, I could treat it as an attack on a Celestial Dragon, you know," a frivolous voice sounded from behind one of the masks.

"Any existence capable of threatening the Celestial Dragons, kill," the other masked figure said coldly.

"CP0? I don't recall this level of CP0 being something you can casually command," Doflamingo said with a frown.

A very bad premonition rose in Doflamingo's heart.

Before this, no matter how much Roswald and the others jumped around, Doflamingo had only felt annoyed, not truly afraid.

That was because relying solely on Roswald and his group's own strength, they simply did not possess the power to truly threaten the Gray Nation.

But the moment these two CP0 agents appeared, Doflamingo realized that things were far more troublesome than he had imagined.

Even within CP0, there were ranks and levels.

And the ones before him were clearly not ordinary CP0 agents. Normally, CP0 of this level was not something a run-of-the-mill Celestial Dragon like Roswald could ever hope to control.

Yet now, they were standing right here.

Doflamingo understood all too clearly what that meant.

Behind Roswald stood an enormous force backing him.

That force was either the Five Elders, or a major figure among the Celestial Dragons themselves.

It should not be the Five Elders. If the Five Elders were truly supporting this, they would never have invested two hundred billion Beli into the City of Nightless in the first place.

Two hundred billion Beli was an astronomical sum even for the Five Elders. If these Celestial Dragons were allowed to wreak havoc freely, that investment could easily go straight down the drain.

Which meant that the one supporting Roswald had to be a major figure among the Celestial Dragons.

Thinking of this, cold sweat began to form on Doflamingo's back.

As someone born of Celestial Dragon blood, Doflamingo knew their foundations better than anyone.

He understood that once a true big shot among the Celestial Dragons decided to make a move against the Gray Nation, the trial facing the Gray Nation would be unimaginably severe, nothing short of a raging storm.

"Heh heh, speaking of which, you also carry Celestial Dragon blood. You should know exactly what this means," Roswald said smugly.

"Heh heh heh. It seems Saint Roswald has gained the favor of a certain great person. But you should think this through carefully. Rosinante isn't as easy to talk to as I am. If he truly gets angry, there's nothing he wouldn't dare to do. For exalted beings like Celestial Dragons, fighting over pride isn't very wise. If you end up losing your life, that would be a huge loss," Doflamingo said, his gaze dark as he swept over Roswald and the others.

Under Doflamingo's stare, many of the Celestial Dragons began to hesitate.

The reason they had come here today was partly because they were interested in the City of Nightless and the merfolk, but more importantly, it was to curry favor with the great figure backing Roswald.

However, Doflamingo was not wrong. Rosinante was a fearless little monster. If he was truly enraged, blood could very well be spilled on the spot today.

To Celestial Dragons, their own lives were the most important thing of all.

If it were anyone else, they would never worry about being attacked. But when it came to Rosinante, who had once openly sniped and killed their attendant slaves right in front of them, they could not help but waver.

Most of the Celestial Dragons present had experienced Rosinante's sniping firsthand. Even now, the memory of bullets whizzing past their heads still filled them with lingering fear.

"I just heard something about losing one's life. Is someone planning to lay a hand on the Celestial Dragons? With me here, I can't allow such a thing to happen," a voice rang out just as hesitation spread among the Celestial Dragons.

A group of men in Navy uniforms walked over.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku? And the Navy's Hero, Garp?" Doflamingo frowned as he looked at the newcomers.
