Chapter 287 - Chapter 287: A Pressure Like the End of the World

"Rosinante, I think it's necessary to redistribute the profits of Nightless City. At the very least, I want two tenths." Charlotte Linlin suddenly stared at Rosinante with a crazed look, as if she would flip the table and walk away if he refused.

The terrifying profits of Nightless City had ignited Charlotte Linlin's greed. She felt that Rosinante was taking far too much, and that one tenth was nowhere near enough for her.

Kaido also turned his beastlike gaze toward Rosinante.

"I think Linlin is right. You're taking too much, Rosinante. Even if you invested heavily at the start, these three days alone are already enough to recover your costs. The profits from these three days can be split as originally agreed, but from now on, the profits can't all belong to you." Kaido said coldly.

Kaido had realized that even robbery was slower than earning money through Nightless City.

And could robbery ever bring in tens of trillions of Beli? Even if Kaido were insane enough to pull it off, it would still take decades.

Whitebeard said nothing, but his expression grew heavy as well.

Whitebeard did not care much for money, but profits on this scale were no longer just about wealth. This was a force capable of changing the world's balance, something he could not ignore.

Rosinante was not surprised by their sudden change in attitude.

The were simply too great, so great that even he himself had been shocked by the numbers and felt they were burning hot to the touch.

"Heh, if you want it, I can give it all to you. You can take over Nightless City entirely. My demands aren't high. Just as you said, aside from these three days of profit, give me two tenths of the annual income and that's enough," Rosinante said with a smile.

When Doflamingo heard this, his expression changed sharply. Such astronomical profits were being pushed away so casually?

He wanted to say something, but in the end he kept quiet. First, this was not a place where he had the right to speak. Second, he understood what this enormous profit truly represented.

Even if one could earn a trillion Beli in a year, Rosinante might still be able to hold onto it.

But three trillion Beli in three days, with two trillion in profit, was another matter entirely.

Even Whitebeard, who stood at the peak of the world, might not be able to hold onto such wealth.

Even the World Government, which ruled the world, might not be able to hold onto it.

Even the Celestial Dragons, who believed themselves gods, might not be able to hold onto it.

Once people heard of such figures, the world would go mad. Countless greedy eyes would turn toward you.

At that point, Nightless City would no longer be just a commercial city. It would become a tool that siphoned the wealth of the entire world.

Controlling such a tool would indeed bring unimaginable profits, but it would also push you straight to the most dangerous peak imaginable.

Rosinante believed his current strength already placed him among the very top of the pirate world. He also commanded considerable power.

If he truly monopolized Nightless City's profits, Gray Kingdom could soar, perhaps even grow into a force rivaling the World Government.

But would the World Government allow him to plunder the world's wealth so openly?

Would the Five Elders and the Celestial Dragons allow it?

Would the hidden old powers of the world, or the many kingdoms, simply watch as he siphoned away global wealth?

And even within Nightless City itself, would the Big Mom Pirates, the Beasts Pirates, and the Whitebeard Pirates really allow one man to dominate such profits?

Would they not fear that Rosinante might use Nightless City's wealth to develop at terrifying speed, eventually leaving them behind and swallowing everything for himself, perhaps even destroying them in the end?

The most likely outcome would be that Gray Kingdom became an enemy of the entire world.

Moreover, Nightless City could not exist without either the World Government or the Four Emperors, let alone maintain such staggering profits.

That was why Rosinante brought this up directly once he learned the true numbers.

He knew very well that if he tried to swallow all of this himself, it would choke him to death.

"Mamamama, who runs Nightless City is none of my concern, but if my share of the profits is reduced, I won't agree," Charlotte Linlin said.

As she spoke, a suffocating, domineering aura pressed toward Rosinante. She was Charlotte Linlin. She did not care about reasoning. Asking for only two tenths was already a concession made out of respect for Rosinante's strength.

"Heh. If I give you two tenths for nothing, then I have to give two tenths to the Whitebeard Pirates and two tenths to the Beasts Pirates as well. That's six tenths gone in one go. The Five Elders already had one tenth, but now that they've seen Nightless City's profits, do you really think they'll be satisfied with just that? Will the World Government agree if they get nothing more? Will the Celestial Dragons accept it without benefits? In the end, I do all the hard work running Nightless City, yet I earn less than any of you. Do you think I would agree to that?" Rosinante said coldly.

An equally domineering aura surged from him, colliding head-on with Charlotte Linlin's.

The clash of their Conqueror's Haki made the air tremble, black lightning flashing wildly through the space between them.

Stimulated by this collision, the Conqueror's Haki of Whitebeard, Kaido, and even Doflamingo was all drawn out.

In an instant, several overwhelming auras collided violently, their sheer pressure cracking the surrounding buildings.

Outside Rosinante's residence, countless people stared in terror as a black vortex streaked with lightning spun above the estate, even the clouds in the sky spiraling along with it.

It looked as if this vortex was about to swallow the entire world.

The crushing pressure made everyone feel as though the end of the world had arrived.
