Marron felt cold. "Will he be executed?"
"Almost certainly. Publicly. Within a week." Edmund's face was grim. "He's confessing to everything. Names, dates, methods. He wants to. Says the mandoline let him forget, and now he can't stop remembering. He wants the pain to end."
