"I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!" she screamed, her voice cracking into a shrill, hoarse wail as her small fists beat against his chest with uncoordinated violence. Tears poured down her flushed, feverish face, mixing with strands of matted hair plastered to her damp skin.
She pushed, kicked, bit, just doing anything to escape him.
Her teeth sank into the side of his wrist, hard enough to draw blood. He hissed in pain, his obsidian eyes darkening with something dangerously cold.
