Chapter 31 - Chapter 31 Meetings

Actually, Fang Hao was very willing to accept this mission. Not only did he want to test his strength against the Twelve Kizuki, but more importantly, he had gained another chance to travel between worlds since his last mission. At the same time, an additional world had become available for him to travel to.

Travel: Pass the Final Selection on Mt. Fujikasane, reward 1 travel chance between worlds; Slay Pseudo Yahaba and Susamaru of the Twelve Kizuki, reward 1 travel chance between worlds.

Current travel chances between worlds: 2

Currently available worlds to travel to: [puella magi madoka magica], [food wars!: shokugeki no soma]

The unfortunate thing was that he really didn't want to go to the worlds he could travel to. If there were no restrictions on the number of travel chances, he would be quite willing to go to the food wars!: shokugeki no soma world. Or, if he hadn't found a suitable world to travel to in the Demon Slayer World, going there would still be a good option.

After all, a gourmet world that uses 'medicine' in its food was something Fang Hao wanted to experience if given the chance. Not just to eat, but mainly to see if people really reacted as if they had been drugged after eating the food. Fang Hao was very much looking forward to it.

Of course, the premise for going to the food wars!: shokugeki no soma world would be if there were no worlds in the travel options that could significantly improve his strength. In that case, he would probably go there, satisfying his mischievous side while also enjoying good food and hoping to find a more desirable world.

Although there were only two worlds available for travel, Fang Hao had already figured out the pattern: it was random. The above was just a guess. However, the travel options probably weren't based on his strength or needs; the possibility of them being random was very high.

Given this, Fang Hao naturally looked forward to the upcoming mission on Spider Mountain. If a Pseudo Twelve Kizuki could grant a travel chance, surely a true Twelve Kizuki wouldn't offer nothing, right?

In short, Fang Hao set off full of anticipation. Hmm, that sounds a bit ominous.

"Is this where you said the others would be waiting for us? We're supposed to meet them here?" Fang Hao didn't immediately enter Natagumo Mountain after arriving. After all, demons couldn't be seen during the day, and besides, they still had to wait for people.

But he waited from day to night and didn't see anyone else besides Tanjiro and his group. At this point, Fang Hao's group consisted of four people: Fang Hao, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, plus Nezuko who was in a box—four people and one demon.

Incidentally, Tanjiro had already told Zenitsu and Inosuke about Nezuko's existence. She was currently staying in the box only because Tanjiro was afraid other Demon Slayer Corps members would see her.

Of course, Nezuko was also very willing to hide in the box now, mainly because she didn't want to come out. As for the reason, Zenitsu, who had a perverted look on his face and wanted to teach her cat's cradle after learning about Nezuko's existence, probably had a lot to say about it.

In Tanjiro's words, it was suspicious. If Fang Hao knew, he would say it was perverted and declare that he didn't know this person.

The Tool Bird stammered, unable to speak when questioned by Fang Hao.

Fang Hao didn't continue to mock the Tool Bird; instead, he fell into deep thought. He indeed couldn't quite remember the plot details of this part of the original story, only recalling the demon family on Natagumo Mountain and Water Pillar Giyu Tomioka.

"I was careless; I should have thought more at the time," Fang Hao regretted slightly. Fang Hao, in the early days of his arrival in the Demon Slayer World, was very cautious, recording all the information he knew about many evil demons. This was mainly out of fear of death, afraid of forgetting the Blood Demon Arts mentioned in the plot and being ambushed and killed.

But other things, especially these minor plot points before entering the mountain, Fang Hao really hadn't recorded them, mainly because he hadn't recalled them at the time. If he were a mage or something, it would be fine, but he was a swordsman, and Kimetsu was an anime he had watched several years ago, so he was truly helpless.

"Yeah, why isn't anyone here? Didn't they say many swordsmen would gather here and then explore together?" Zenitsu also wondered.

"Something must have happened. In the worst-case scenario, they might have already been completely wiped out," Fang Hao said after a moment of contemplation. Although he couldn't remember the plot, this was indeed the most likely scenario.

"No way!" Zenitsu was startled. "Big Brother, are you saying there are no reinforcements? So now, only a few of us can explore such a big mountain? That's definitely not going to work, right? Right, Big Brother?"

At the end, he looked at Fang Hao, hoping his Big Brother would support his idea.

Fang Hao didn't deny Zenitsu's statement. Although Zenitsu said this purely out of fear, what he said did make sense. If these few people were to enter the mountain and explore together, it would be too slow.

But if they split up, they would indeed be defeated one by one by the evil demons. After all, Fang Hao knew there was a family of demons here. Although he couldn't remember the exact number, he figured there wouldn't be fewer than three; otherwise, why call them a family? Wouldn't it be better to call them a couple, father and son, or siblings?

Tanjiro was also carefully considering this problem. Although he didn't know if demons existed in the mountain, a group of two was still quite reasonable, but they had five people. Someone would definitely have to go in alone, or it would be one group of two and one group of three...

"Coward!" Inosuke didn't think that much. He loudly mocked Zenitsu. In his opinion, there was nothing to be afraid of in the mountain; he had grown up in the mountains since he was a child and completely failed to understand Zenitsu's fear or Fang Hao and Tanjiro's hesitation.

"There's nothing to be afraid of in the mountain. It's like coming home to me. Hmph, watch me show you something."

"Gompachiro Kamaboko, Monitsu, this is my home turf!"

"Demons hiding in the mountain, come out obediently and become my whetstones, hahahahaha!"

"Boar Assault!"

"My name is Fang Hao, thank you." Inosuke never got his name right.

"Why didn't he call me?" Zenitsu expressed his confusion. We're clearly three people standing together, how did I lose so completely?

"That idiot, how can he run in so recklessly?"

Tanjiro anxiously chased after Inosuke, but Inosuke's speed in the mountain was simply too fast. Tanjiro only barely managed to keep up by relying on his nose.

Fang Hao and Zenitsu, relying on Tanjiro, also managed to follow Inosuke.

Inosuke was always full of confidence in himself, especially in this mountain, where he felt even more at home. His running speed grew faster and faster. He looked forward to encountering strong enemies, the stronger the better.

In the dark mountain forest, he was like the ultimate predator, searching for his prey.
