✉️ A Letter to the Readers of Irene's Secret 🖤

Hello, my dears,

I'm author_d, the writer behind Irene's Secret — a story that began as a whisper in my imagination and transformed into a world brimming with secrets, pain, and strength.

I created this account, @author_d, as a home for everyone who has loved the story, and a refuge for those whose hearts were touched by Irene's journey.

Here, I'll be sharing updates, designs, exclusive scenes, and perhaps even a few sneaky little spoilers you won't find anywhere else 👀

If you've ever seen yourself in the pages of this story, know this: you are not alone.

Thank you for being here.

Why did I write this story?

I wrote Irene's Secret to release a silent ache, and to give voice to those who were never heard.

Irene isn't just a fictional character — she is a symbol of survival, of dignified revenge, of unyielding grace.

Because this story is not entirely made up…

> Irene was born from a humble maid named Louisa, in a secret affair within the royal palace.

Her mother was later executed in a political "purge" to cover up a royal scandal — much like Louisa Tarakanova, daughter of an empress, who was imprisoned and died in exile after being disowned by all.

Irene grew up under a cloud of shame, labeled "the traitor's daughter" and heir to a "tainted bloodline" — just like Juana la Beltraneja, who was denied her rightful place on the throne because of her mother's reputation.

She was forcibly married into a foreign kingdom as part of a so-called "peace alliance" — not out of love, but because she was a political pawn.

Much like Maria Luisa of Parma, who was married off to secure a Franco-Spanish alliance, only to be later discarded.

But Irene was no silent pawn.

She used her marriage and new power to begin a quiet, calculated political revenge against her father and the unjust system — just as False Margaret tried to reclaim her identity to overthrow a regime.

She endured public hatred, social exclusion, and class discrimination — not because she had sinned, but because she wasn't "born in the right place."

Like thousands of women throughout history, silenced only because they didn't obey the rules.

✨ The Story Behind Lucas...

> Lucas's story in Irene's Secret is not purely fictional...

It was my attempt to plant a seed of reality within the fantasy, drawing inspiration from a story I once read and never forgot —

the legend of Khun San Law and Nan Oo Binn, childhood lovers from the Shan region of Myanmar.

Separated by tradition, forced into marriages they never chose, they vowed to keep their love alive. After Nan's death, Khun could not bear the loss — and followed her in death by his own hand.

The legend says they became two stars in the sky, shining together each night, because the earth could not hold their love.

And Lucas...

He, too, lived his love in silence.

Neither death ended his story, nor did life do him justice.

But like Khun, he never let go of his heart — not until the very end.

His love for Viola was so deep, he could not easily let go, even after marrying and knowing Viola now belonged to another.

"Irene's Secret"

is not just a novel —

It's the voice of all who were born in darkness, denied the light, and chose to become the light themselves.
