Chapter 44 - Chapter 41 : The Awakening Within and Beyond

Su Yang gazed at the glowing status screen in front of him, his eyes narrowing slightly as he read the newly revealed information about his body.

---

[Frozen Heart Soul Incarnation Body (Unawakened)]

This is an Ice-type constitution formed after the host absorbed half of Master Lu Wei's Ice-Origin Blood, which was later refined by the host's Karma Fire Body. The final trigger was an intimate connection with Lu Ying, an Ice Body holder. This unique fusion birthed a powerful but dormant Ice Body within the host.

To fully awaken this body, the host must either:

(1) Interact again intimately with a person who possesses an Ice Body, thereby synchronizing energies; or

(2) Use a high-grade Ice-type Heavenly Treasure to activate and stabilize the Ice Body.

---

Su Yang let out a slow breath, his thoughts heavy with the weight of what he had just learned.

> "So that's how I got this body… That moment with Lu Ying wasn't just a bond—it rewrote the foundation of my existence."

And yet, the power within him remained untapped.

> "It's no wonder I've grown so much stronger, but I haven't felt any physical change. The system is helping me adjust. If not for that, my body might've already shattered from the power I gained."

He read further:

---

(System Note)

The host's previous body was incapable of cultivation. Thanks to the system, the host can now grow without restrictions. The system will assist in stabilizing the body during breakthroughs and regulate the host's power usage to prevent internal damage. The host may also train the physical body to handle higher power outputs naturally.

---

Su Yang clenched his fists, a faint warmth rising in his chest.

> "This system… it's not like those in the novels I've read. It's not trying to kill me with impossible missions or random punishment mechanics. It's helping me grow, protecting me."

Still, the idea of unlocking his Ice Body through physical interaction left him conflicted.

> "I can't just… do that with anyone. The Karma Fire Body will activate, strengthening that person's body and soul. That's a dangerous gift."

He shook his head.

> "I've already made that mistake once… It was unintentional, and Lu Ying was kind. But what if next time it's someone with ill intent?"

His eyes narrowed as he thought of the second option.

> "I'll look for an Ice-type Heavenly Treasure. Rare, yes, but far safer than giving someone else the chance to exploit me."

> "It might take time, but I'd rather walk the long path than invite disaster."

Resolved, Su Yang turned his focus inward. Though his cultivation and elemental power had increased, his physical body was still not strong enough to release that power freely.

> "Power without control is no power at all."

He retrieved one of the elemental cultivation manuals from his storage ring and began absorbing the rich, pure spirit energy of his personal realm.

Crossing his legs and placing his palms upward, he activated all his elemental techniques in sync. A gentle breeze stirred around him. Then the wind became denser, the energy in the spirit land swirling toward his body like a drawn breath.

The world energy flowed through his skin, into his meridians, and deep into his bones.

> "It's like breathing fresh air into my soul…" he thought, as the inner toughness of his body steadily grew.

With every cycle, his muscles toughened, his bones refined, and his meridians expanded. The subtle heating of his body signified the refining process initiated by his Karma Fire—its warmth mixing gently with the cool undertone of his Ice affinity.

As this duality flowed within him, Su Yang felt the first true harmony between his two opposing elements.

But then—he sensed it.

A sudden shift in the air.

He opened his eyes.

The green egg—half-buried, its shell glowing with golden and purple stripes—was vibrating lightly. Around it, a vortex of world energy had formed, spinning fast, pulling in energy just like Su Yang had been doing moments ago.

The entire spirit land reacted. Leaves rustled. Ripples spread through the air.

> "It's reacting… It's drawing in energy… It's about to hatch," Su Yang said aloud, rising to his feet.

In that very moment, Max, who had been peacefully sleeping in Su Yang's lap, suddenly opened his eyes. His ears perked up, and he leapt off Su Yang with a small woof.

Su Yang followed him, stepping closer to the egg. He could feel it now—an ancient, wild energy brewing inside.

The purple and golden veins on the shell pulsed with life. The temperature around the egg dropped sharply, and then, within a heartbeat, it rose again.
