BOOM!!!!!!!!!!
A terrifying roar thundered from the sea as a tsunami hundreds of meters high surged toward Liyue Harbor, its monstrous form like a demon with gaping, ravenous jaws. The towering wave blotted out the sky, and an aura of pure despair swept across all of Liyue.
People stared wide-eyed at the incoming tide, unable to look away. Families clung to each other, quietly waiting for death to arrive. A wave that massive was far beyond what any human could resist. Whether it was the Millelith, the Liyue Qixing, or those blessed with Visions—all were as insignificant as dust before such destruction. No one could raise even the faintest thought of resistance.
Ningguang stood upon the suspended Jade Chamber, gazing up at the tsunami about to consume them, her heart calm and unmoved. Even the floating palace could not escape what was to come. Below, the people of Liyue—great and small—were lost in stunned despair. Those who had come to their senses could only offer bitter smiles.
No one screamed, no one fled, no one fought back. Faced with an unstoppable natural calamity, most simply chose quiet acceptance.
BOOM!!!!!!
The wave crashed violently against the harbor, and everyone instinctively shut their eyes. After a few seconds, realizing they were unharmed, they cautiously opened them again. A golden barrier of light now enveloped the entire harbor, blocking the colossal tsunami completely.
Every eye in Liyue widened in shock. In that instant, a single image appeared in everyone's mind—and it perfectly overlapped with the figure suspended in the air.
"It's the Emperor!!!"
"His Majesty the Emperor has returned!!!"
The despair gripping the crowd vanished instantly, replaced by cries of joy and relief. One after another, people recognized the distant figure. Even from afar, they could feel it—it was truly the Emperor!
"His Majesty has been revived! He's protected us once again!!!"
"His Majesty the Emperor!!!"
"We're saved! We're saved!!"
"His Majesty has returned! We're safe! He'll destroy all the monsters—Liyue is saved!!"
The entire city erupted in celebration. Cheers filled the harbor as the people rejoiced in Morax's return, their hearts alight with gratitude and hope. Tears welled in the eyes of the Qixing and the Millelith alike.
At that moment, Morax—floating above the sea—slowly lowered his raised right hand. A massive Planet Befall tore through the clouds and descended from the heavens.
BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another deafening explosion shook the ocean, and a second tsunami rose high into the air. It was the second Planet Befall he had unleashed.
Morax had just finished aiding Inazuma and was preparing to return to Liyue when he sensed a strange disturbance in the sea. Soon after, the ancient gods he had once sealed beneath the Guyun Stone Forest began crawling back into the world.
He had imprisoned many gods there, and now that they had all broken free, even Morax found the situation grave. Despite two Planet Befall crashing down, numerous gods still launched fierce attacks against him.
"Troublesome…" Morax muttered, a hint of frustration in his voice.
He had already expended vast amounts of divine power placing two mountains in Inazuma. Now, after two more Planet Befall, his strength was waning. And these gods were far from weak—each one possessed the might of a mid-tier deity.
Back during the Archon War, all of Liyue's forces combined were needed to defeat just seven gods in Dragonspine. Now, over a dozen had appeared at once—even for Morax, this was a dire situation.
He needed to return quickly. The awakening of the gods at Guyun Stone Forest meant those sealed across Liyue's lands had likely risen as well. With Azhdaha still bound, only the Yaksha and the Adepti remained to defend their home.
If only three or four gods emerged, they could manage—but seven or eight or more would be disastrous.
He couldn't abandon his post either. If he left now, the gods would attack Liyue unchecked, and his protective barrier would shatter in an instant—leaving everyone in the harbor to perish.
At that moment, a surge of faith poured into his body through his Gnosis. Morax paused, feeling the deep devotion and trust of Liyue's people flowing into him.
"This must end quickly."
Reinvigorated by their faith, Morax summoned countless stone spears from the sky, raining them down upon the gods beneath the Guyun Stone Forest.
...
At Jueyun Karst.
"Adepti, you and Ganyu will hold this position. We're heading back to defend Liyue Harbor," Bosacius commanded decisively.
"Cuijue Slope and Tianqiu Valley hold the largest number of sealed gods. You won't be able to defend them both. And with all this happening, His Majesty surely…"
"Xianyun, don't forget—there's one place where even more gods lie sealed, more than Cuijue Slope and Tianqiu Valley combined."
Before Xianyun could finish, Bosacius interrupted her. The Adepti froze, eyes widening in realization.
"Guyun Stone Forest…" murmured Cloud Retainer softly.
"I'm entrusting Guizhong to you. Protect her at all costs. I'm counting on you," Bosacius whispered close to Xianyun's ear.
"Hahaha! Don't worry! It's just gods—we slaughtered plenty during the Archon War! And don't forget—I've got four hands!"
Bosacius laughed heartily, clapping Cloud Retainer on the shoulder. He turned to see Indarias, Menogias, Alatus, and Bonanus smiling confidently.
"Let's go, everyone. Time to make some noise!" Bosacius strode forward with firm, unshakable steps.
"Haven't stretched these muscles in ages," Indarias said with a grin.
"My skills might be a bit rusty, but taking down a few sealed gods shouldn't be a problem," Menogias added coolly.
"We'll return victorious. Wait for our good news," Bonanus said with a faint smile.
"When this calamity ends, let's all go have almond tofu together," Alatus said at last.
At that moment, the four Yaksha turned together, facing the setting sun. With determined hearts, they followed Bosacius—racing toward Liyue Harbor.
