Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 17

# CHAPTER 17:- PILLARS OF PEACE

The silence in the hall made the air feel heavier, thick with unspoken tension. All the PEACE members sat quietly, calm yet alert.

Finally, Karma leaned forward, his gaze lowered, and broke the silence with a calm voice.

"I'm also from Earth… just like you."

Kavya's jaw dropped, her eyebrows shooting up.

"Whaaa~"

"I know it sounds sudden—and unbelievable," Karma continued, "but it's true. The first person to discover this world… was my father."

Each word hit like a bombshell. Kavya stood frozen, stunned and clueless. Slowly, she raised a hand to her head, trying to process the whirlwind of truth just dropped on her.

Rancho suddenly cut in, his voice breaking through the serious atmosphere.

"Can we not dive straight into the heavy stuff?" he said, shrugging casually. "She just got here—let her breathe a little. Just a suggestion."

Hexa's eyes widened slightly as she glanced at him, her inner thoughts spinning.

"~Since when did he start using his brain?

Karma smirked slightly.

"Ahh, yeah, my mistake," he said, leaning back with a calm chuckle. "But before anything else—you haven't met all the members of PEACE yet, right?"

He gestured around the room casually.

"Well, I think you already know Hanza, Hexa… and the most lively one here—Rancho."

Karma turned his head to the right, where three members of the PEACE organization were seated. He raised his hand and pointed toward them.

"These three," he said calmly, "are the pillars of PEACE—the top three strongest members in the organization."

Kavya's gaze followed his gesture.

The first was a woman.

LARAFOUL

A woman around 28 years old, with cream-colored hair tied in a neat ponytail. A pair of rectangular, bluish sunglasses rested low on her nose, partially revealing her sharp black-and-yellow eyes. She wore the same black coat with the PEACE emblem on the back, sitting confidently with her legs crossed and both hands resting on her knees.

Even without speaking a word, Kavya could feel her powerful presence.

Next was a young man, likely close to Kavya's own age.

HACKER

A 25-year-old with light pink hair that casually fell over his forehead. A playful smile tugged at his lips, and Kavya noticed that one of his teeth—on the left side—was golden. Like the others, he wore the black PEACE coat and leaned back comfortably on the sofa, his arms crossed with casual confidence.

And finally, there was a man whose quiet demeanor instantly stood out.

KIXON

A broad-shouldered, muscular man with dusky skin and jet-black hair, around 30 years old. He wore dark sunglasses and the familiar PEACE coat, his posture calm and composed, like that of a seasoned warrior.

He didn't say a word, but Kavya could sense the weight of experience around him.

Larafoul slowly shifted her gaze toward Kavya. The weight in her eyes was enough to make Kavya's shoulders stiffen. A faint chill ran down her spine, and she instinctively lowered her head, avoiding direct eye contact.

Karma then turned his head to the left, his hand lifting to gesture toward the man seated beside Hexa.

"And this," he said evenly, "is our supervisor. You could say the vice-captain, or second-in-command. After me, he's the one who handles everything."

LAXUS

A man with sharp, spiked purple hair and piercing orange eyes. Long golden crystalline earrings swayed faintly as he moved. Like everyone else, he wore the signature black coat with the PEACE emblem—but one detail set him apart: a single star gleamed on his chest, marking his status as the supervisor.

Laxus turned his head toward kavya, offering a warm, almost reassuring smile. It was a simple gesture, but it felt like a quiet welcome.

Kavya's thoughts hit instantly, her brows lifting in mild frustration.

'I think it's going to take me a while to remember all their names… I'm just so good at forgetting things.'

Before she could drift too far into her own head, Karma's voice cut in, his gaze locking onto her.

"Now that you've been introduced to everyone, Laxus will give you a brief explanation of our plan."

He turned his head toward Laxus and gave a short nod.

"LAXUS!"

Laxus stood and stepped over to Karma's side, wasting no time as he began,

"So, our plan is this—Rox is now on his way to rescue Kavya, and Hexa has also agreed to go with him. Once Rox and Hexa infiltrate the government headquarters, that's when the real opportunity begins. We're expecting some level of commotion…"

Kavya shifted uncomfortably, her nerves prickling. Slowly, she raised her hand, cutting into the explanation.

"But… doesn't that put Rox's life at risk?"

A small smile tugged at Laxus's lips.

"You're correct. That's why, for his safety, two more members—Kavy and Hanza—will also follow them to the headquarters. Once the commotion starts, we'll make our move and gather as much information as possible about the government's future plans, as well as their full military strength… especially now that they've officially declared war on us."

Karma picked up the conversation, his hands clasped behind his back as he paced slowly from left to right.

"And Kavya, you still have time to grow stronger. If you want to go back—or even just survive here—you must become strong. The government won't give up so easily, but it's not like they'll act immediately either. It will take time… and you have that time. For now, let's focus on wrapping up this mission first."

As he turned to leave, his gaze drifted toward the staff in her hands.

"That staff… it looks cool—and strong. Make good use of it."

He faced the group again briefly.

"Meeting over."

Karma and Laxus were about to leave the hall when Karma paused mid-step. Without turning his head, he spoke in a calm, deliberate tone.

"Laxus… bring Kavya to my room. I have something important to tell her—privately."
