Chapter 143 - Confession

Rewinding Twenty minutes, Cain was still rooted to the spot where Jayden had left him. He hated the feeling of guilt that plagued him. He shouldn't have brought up the elixir incident, she had already apologized for it. 

"It's good that you got ths off your chests now. A relationship needs a solid foundation to prosper. Only through tribulations like this, would you truly have a chance to stand the test of time together." 

Gaius did his best to comfort him but it still felt a bit hollow as a new wave of anger surged within the young Prince. 

"What makes ou such a master of relationships huh?! Last I checked, you were betrayed, killed and then slandered by the ones you called your disciples! Where were the ones who loved you then. Where were they during this 'tribulation'!" 

Cain winced as he realized he had gone too far. He could feel hs mentor's pain and anguish over his pupils words. Cain was about to apologize when Gaius sighed.
