Kael's POV~
I felt cold blood rush through my veins… like the whole world had frozen beside me.
For a second, I could not breathe.
The bastard's words kept echoing in my skull...
She was gone. Someone took her and our mate was poisoned.
The bastard had even dared to poison her.
My vision went red.
Before I could stop myself, I lost control. My fist slammed again and again into the man in front of me until he was nothing but broken flesh and blood. I didn't even realize when his bones shattered… when his body stopped moving.
All I knew was rage and the fear of losing her again.
Because once again… our mate was nowhere to be found.
And I could do nothing.
My wolf clawed at my chest, howling in pain. My heart burned like fire. The world spun, my hands shook, and I felt as if the ground beneath me had disappeared.
I mind linked my brothers in my desperation.
