Yike walked inside the village, and the first thing he noticed was how empty it looked.
There were a total of five small houses and one bigger one in the center of the village. The biggest house was probably that of the Village Lord. However, as far as Yike could tell, the village had been deserted.
Still, he took a chance.
"Hello! Is there anyone here?"
He shouted as loudly as he could, hoping that somebody would come out of their hiding spot.
But nothing.
"HELLO!"
Yike repeated, this time louder.
But there was still nothing.
He clenched his jaw as he had no idea where to go next.
"Goddammit!" he cursed as he hit the small house before him in anger.
-Creak!
The wood cracked, and the abandoned house almost fell down as a result.
"Are you crazy?!"
Then, a very distinct voice entered his mind and pulled him out of his stupor.
The house he had hit.
There had been someone sleeping inside it.
-Swoosh!
The old wooden plank serving as a door swung open, and out of it came a beautiful fox woman.
'A Hybrid, half-fox, half-human... Don't tell me that this village was founded by one of them?!'
Yike was slowly starting to lose his mind.
The amount of luck he was currently having was simply abnormal. There was no other way to describe it.
Hybrids, being those that are half-human and half-animals, have very strong basic stats, making them very powerful awakeners—much more powerful than humans on average—which is why finding such a village is absolutely amazing but, at the same time, dangerous.
After all, the relationship between Hybrids and humans hasn't been the best in past years.
Still, Yike had to admit that this particular hybrid was one of a kind.
She was one of the most beautiful beings that Yike had ever seen in his life.
She had long brown hair and beautiful pearly green eyes. A long tail and two perky fox ears. However, that was the case with any half-fox. What was so great about her was her body... It was unbelievable.
She had a very fit and toned body, which was proof of her hard work. However, the star of the show was her breasts. They were some of the biggest breasts that Yike had ever seen in his life. On top of that, the half-fox was wearing very tight clothes, which made it even harder to concentrate on something else.
It was as if she had been doing it on purpose.
"Did you just destroy my house, human?!" she said as she started walking toward Yike with a frown on her face, her breasts moving up and down with every step.
Yike couldn't help but look.
"And you're a pervert on top of that!"
The half-fox was already ready to strike as she wound her arm back. However, she managed to resist the feeling as she frowned all of a sudden.
"Why are you here anyway?"
'Thank god she's not that crazy!' he thought in the back of his mind.
"My family decided to banish me and sent me into the SSS-Rank Danger Zone right next to this village. The only reason I even managed to get out of there was because of a strange cat named Meow."
The half-fox seemed to react to that name as she immediately lost all of her aggressiveness.
"Meow approved of you? Really? You're not lying?"
Her eyes, which had been full of anger, were suddenly filled with happiness.
"I-I'm not..."
Without even saying anything, the half-fox jumped into his arms and held onto him as tightly as possible. She wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist.
She was holding him so closely that Yike's face was rammed into her giant breasts, barely able to breathe because of how tight her grasp was.
"P-Please... Let me go..." Yike begged as he was almost on the verge of losing consciousness.
But then, after a few seconds, she did so, letting him go in an instant.
"R-Right... Sorry. I can get a little touchy when I'm happy."
Yike nodded and made sure not to glance at her breasts again. Instead, he decided to focus on something much more important here: knowing more about this village.
"Are you living here alone?" he asked.
The half-fox looked down with a pout.
"Yes, unfortunately. Ever since the accident, I've been living here all alone..."
While Yike didn't show it on the outside, this was an even better situation than he had originally thought. From what he had felt when she had hugged him, the fox girl definitely wasn't weak. In fact, she had some power to her—power that he could use to hunt monsters.
"Oh... What happened?"
"I-I don't really want to talk about it..." she said as she looked down at the ground.
Yike got closer to her as he placed his hand on her back and began rubbing it slowly, trying his best to comfort her.
"If you want, I could stay here with you."
Once again, her eyes widened with happiness as she turned around and hugged him even more tightly this time.
"Of course! If Meow approves of you, then so do I! You can stay for as long as you want!"
She let go of him and extended her hand forward.
"I'm Roxy. What about you?"
"Yike. Nice to meet you, Roxy."
As Yike shook her hand, he noticed that Roxy's cheeks had turned a little pink, almost as if she was embarrassed right now.
Still, he didn't make anything of it.
Especially not after just meeting.
"Should I sleep somewhere in particular?"
"Hm. You can take the Lord's old house if you want. It's the biggest around here, and it has the most comfortable bed."
"Ah. Sure then. I'll take this one. Thank you."
It hadn't seemed like it, but it was starting to get late. The sun was already beginning to go down, and he was really exhausted.
"I'll go take a nap. Let's talk later."
