Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Prophecy of the Twin Dragons and the Shared Curse

Ao Jin, Ao Bing's older brother, has always felt the weight of a prophecy hanging over his life, a prophecy passed down through generations of dragons. From a young age, Ao Jin heard whispers of the Prophecy of the Twin Dragons—a cryptic message that foretold the return of two brothers, born of dragon blood, who would either bring balance to the world or unravel it completely. This prophecy speaks of the "twin dragons," whose blood is cursed and bound to the heavens, with their reunion capable of healing or destroying the world's balance.

For years, Ao Jin has been haunted by this prophecy, though he never knew exactly what it meant. His childhood was filled with vague legends and old myths about the fate of the dragon clans and the two brothers who could either save or doom them. Ao Jin has spent much of his life wandering, searching for any sign of his younger brother, Ao Bing, whom he believed had died or been lost to the world. However, the prophecy had always whispered to him that Ao Bing was still alive, and that their reunion was not just inevitable—it was tied to a far greater destiny.

But Ao Jin's search wasn't only driven by the desire to reunite with his brother. As dragons, their bloodline is cursed by the gods, and this curse runs deeper than either of them understands. Ao Bing's imprisonment—his suffering—begins to have an effect on Ao Jin. The curse that binds them also connects them in ways they cannot control. The more Ao Bing suffers, the more Ao Jin feels the pull. He feels his brother's pain, the pressure of his curse growing stronger, and the growing sense that their destinies are intertwined in ways neither of them can escape.

One night, after years of searching, Ao Jin has a vivid, nearly haunting dream. In it, Ao Bing reaches out to him—a silent plea for help, a cry of anguish. The dream is a message, not from Ao Bing himself, but from the gods or some ancient force that governs the dragons. In the dream, Ao Bing's power is teetering on the edge of control, and Ao Jin realizes that their reunion is the key to breaking—or worsening—the curse that binds them both. The dream tells Ao Jin that his brother's suffering has awakened the power that connects them, and it is time for them to reunite. But what the prophecy doesn't reveal is the cost of their reunion.

Ao Jin can no longer ignore the call of the prophecy—or the deep, unsettling connection between himself and his brother. The curse and the prophecy are both driving him forward. He begins to follow the strange, mystical signals that guide him toward Ao Bing. With every passing day, the pull becomes stronger. Ao Jin is drawn to his brother's location through a mixture of intuition, his dragon bloodline's powers, and a deep sense of urgency.

As Ao Jin travels, he begins to experience Ao Bing's emotions. He feels the weight of his brother's isolation, the anger, the fear, and the immense power contained within Ao Bing. It's as though their fates are mirrored—what happens to Ao Bing happens to Ao Jin, though Ao Jin's powers are not as extreme. The connection becomes so strong that Ao Jin even begins to fear the consequences of their reunion. What if Ao Bing's power, when released, could destroy everything? What if their reunion could tip the balance between the gods and the mortal realm, unleashing devastation?

Ao Jin reaches the kingdom where Ao Bing is imprisoned and begins to investigate, using his growing abilities and his understanding of dragon magic to uncover the truth about his brother's curse. Along the way, he encounters others who are aware of the prophecy—the royal family, ancient dragon clans, and even people from Ao Bing's past—each with their own opinions about the fate of the brothers. Some of them believe that Ao Bing's return will bring salvation, while others fear that it will bring the world to its knees.

Ao Jin is now faced with an impossible decision: Does he rescue Ao Bing and fulfill the prophecy, knowing that their reunion may either break the curse or unleash chaos? Or does he stop the reunion, sever the connection between them, and risk dooming both their futures to an uncertain fate?

The gods, however, have their own plans. As Ao Jin's journey progresses, he begins to notice that certain divine forces seem to be pushing him in one direction, while others seek to manipulate him into fulfilling the prophecy in a specific way. These gods could either act as allies or adversaries, all vying for control of the fate of the twin dragons. Ao Jin begins to wonder whether he's following his own path, or whether his every step has been orchestrated by higher powers to ensure a particular outcome.

The closer Ao Jin gets to Ao Bing, the more intense the connection between them becomes. Ao Jin can feel his brother's power reaching out to him, as if Ao Bing's curse is now awakening. And as they approach their reunion, Ao Jin fears that he will have to choose between saving Ao Bing—or letting him go.
