Chapter 192 - Chapter 192: Fusion Kefrolly

Whether in her mutated state or as a "demon" Saiyan, Kale's bloodline sits far above an ordinary Saiyan's. Caulifla, on the other hand, is a once-in-a-generation prodigy. Two female Saiyans one with bottomless potential, the other with explosive talent.

Fused with Potara into Kefla, their power multiplies dozens of times and inherits both of their traits. She lit up the Tournament of Power. When Kefla transforms, her hair doesn't go the usual gold but a grassy green. Her muscles only swell slightly none of the crushing pressure of Kale's berserk rages. The specifics of that body are still a mystery to Levos. With a chance to study her, he wasn't about to let it pass.

"Samples collected. What now?" Dr. Hyde shook the test tube, scarlet swirling inside.

"Keep it for research," Levos said. "Run a full analysis. I want the gene differences against other Saiyans."

"Understood." Hyde nodded.

"By the way," Levos asked the question that had been bothering him, "why didn't I re-evolve to my Ultimate form after absorbing so many?"

He had taken in no fewer than ten Dark Cells alone. If Zamasu had chosen them, they were apex predators in their timelines. Even if Darklings couldn't draw out every ounce of Cell's strength, those bodies were top-tier. That should have been more than enough to push the Cell Max line to its next stage. Yet the result wasn't what he expected. Did he really have to absorb the Bulma + Android 18 fusion specifically?

"I can't say," Hyde admitted, helpless. "At this point your body has left my frame of reference entirely." He paused. "If you agree, I can keep studying your cells. Maybe we'll find the bottleneck."

"Do it." Levos inclined his head.

Hyde stepped forward, drawing a vial of pale-violet blood from Levos then frowned. "Switch back to your base body. One more."

Levos did as asked. Hyde drew a tube of bright red this time and stared between the two. "Incredible. If this holds, I might be able to push the Cell Max genome even further."

Levos stared at the two very different colors of his own blood and gave up trying to understand.

"Don't worry," Hyde added, patting his shoulder. "So far the Cell Max absorption functions perfectly. No side effects."

No side effects? He'd nearly burst twice from overflowing energy. Levos kept the grumble to himself. With a reliable method to open and harden his personal space, blowing up was no longer the fear it used to be.

In that case, one more round of controlled fusions it was.

A dozen Darklings were still in custody. Since he'd absorb them anyway, he could let them fuse in a controlled environment, raising the quality of his evolution "materials."

"There are a lot of Dark Freezas," he mused, "but only one Saiyan left worth anything Kefla. For others, fusion is the way up. Saiyans can also stack passives."

Think it, do it. He already had experience from handling Dark Gogeta.

"I'll be gone for a bit. Buu, with me," Levos called to the group.

This kind of work was better done far from everyone else. Neither fusion nor passive-stacking looked pretty up close. Before any fusion, both "materials" had to be rendered completely unable to resist. And to stack a Saiyan's passive, you had to push them to the brink.

"Heavens. Levos, don't tell me you're going to power up those Darklings again and then absorb them," someone groaned.

"Absorbing a girl that cute?" Master Roshi clicked his tongue in pity. "No appreciation for beauty."

"Uh… when you put it that way, she is pretty," Krillin said, rubbing his chin.

Oolong bobbed his head. "Mm-hm, not bad."

"Levos, you really going through with this?" Yamcha's voice went serious. "Treating a lady like that no class."

"Yamcha," Puar piped up gently, "you were just chasing Miss Bulma. Don't tell me you're changing your mind already…"

Kefla might look like a girl and among the Darklings she was the only one but her soul was still Zamasu. Levos couldn't tell if they didn't know the truth or were simply dazzled by a pretty face.

Even so, their nagging made him hesitate. Maybe he should work poor Ginyu a little harder and give Dark Kefla's body to a teammate instead.

His eyes swept the crowd. No perfect candidate jumped out. Absorb her himself or hand the body to an ally? He wavered.

Or… use her as reinforcement for Poole?

Kefla plus the New Broly. The idea alone was wild. Poole hadn't fully explored Broly's body yet this would be a chance to stack those passives too. Whatever weapon or form Poole took on, her base traits and power came from her true body and wouldn't be diminished. And a fused form that skewed closer to her self-image wouldn't hurt.

But there was risk. Two top-tier Saiyans with maxed passives fusing might produce a body not far off Dark Gogeta. During passive-stacking they would need ironclad containment. And once again he'd be leaning on Ginyu to shuffle bodies among Darklings multiple times. Having Ginyu as a subordinate was great but was he overworking the man?

"I'm not a capitalist," Levos sighed inwardly.

Ignoring Roshi and the others, he beckoned Ginyu and Poole and laid out the plan. "Ginyu, if this is too much trouble, you can say no. Poole, same for you your call matters."

Cold sweat sprang to Ginyu's brow. Someone had figured out how to get the absolute most out of his technique. After trying to hijack Levos once, could he refuse now? Would he dare…

He swallowed his pride. Survival first.

"Lord Levos, I will carry out your orders faithfully," Ginyu said, expression solemn.

"Levos, I'm with you," Poole replied, fired up.

"Good."

Pleased, Levos ruffled Poole's soft hair, then led the Darklings and the necessary hands out to a barren stretch of land.

First, Ginyu swapped Poole's body into another Darkling to keep her safe. Then Levos shifted to Mechanical Form and began the grim work of stacking passives on Kefla and the New Broly. With both of them pinned in critical condition for most of the process, it was hard to gauge their absolute tiers. On potential alone, fused Kefla was probably not beneath the New Broly. If you set New Broly as a peer to Gogeta, then the fusion of these two Darklings might touch Dark Gogeta's level or exceed it.

Either way, that body's base power was terrifying, to say nothing of the special transformations it could unlock. If the gender question weren't so thorny, Levos might have taken it for himself.

He pushed the thought aside and worked in tandem with Buu, grinding the two Darklings down and stacking their passives to the limit.

At last, the critical moment arrived.

After triple-checking that every fiber of their bodies had been stripped of resistance, Levos had Majin Buu step in and attach the Potara earrings to them.

He and Ginyu took their positions.

The instant fusion light bloomed, Ginyu's body-swap ray was already on its way.

Shlick.

Levos instant-transmitted with Ginyu straight into the shining cocoon and shoved the swap beam down the fusing Darkling's throat. Before the new being could react, Ginyu had stolen the body.

After that, the rest was simple. "Ginyu, swap with Poole."

Even if he'd had second thoughts, there was nothing Ginyu could do while piloting a body on death's door. Moments later, Poole opened her eyes inside the newly born fusion of Kefla and Broly.

Kefrolly was hers.
