Chapter 91 - Hug

In velvet arms of twilight,

I am gathered from my flight,

stitched within your aching skies,

hidden where the sorrow lies.

A binding made without thread,

where broken suns bow their head,

a cradle built from lost songs,

where weary shadows belong.

Your breath becomes my fortress,

an unseen crown of solace,

around my bones, rivers weep,

your nearness pulls me to sleep.

The ancient tremor of skin,

folds my ruins deep within,

where your silent edict speaks,

and silence brushes my cheeks.

Your presence is folded air,

woven from unsounded prayer,

a lattice of unseen seas,

fastened under trembling knees.

Where trembling worlds fall apart,

your tether fastens my heart,

like ivy twines broken walls,

like morning crowns midnight halls.

Hold me within your still breath,

wrap me past the hands of death;

in your fold, the void shall cease,

and worn stars shall find their peace.
