Sous and Icarus at first flew over the terrain to see if they could see the wolf packs that had targeted the elves within the Valley of Tray, but didn't have luck.
It wasn't surprising to them since the snow covered mountains also had thick patches of woods that made it difficult for the two to see. Incarus flapped his black feathered wings while descending down next to Shadow and Shadow. Jr.
Sous landed next to him and shook her head. "We're going to have to travel by ground to see if we can scope out the wolves," she said.
"Then what?" Shadow Jr. asked. "When we find the wolves, do we kill them?"
"No, we want to know if they truly had anything to do with the disappearance of the elves in this area and then work out a compromise," Sous answered.
Shadow lifted an eyebrow after Sous gave her answer. That was unique of her to offer to talk versus going straight toward the kill like she had done when younger.
"I have a hard time believing that the elves would lose to a fight against the wolves," Sous exclaimed. "Their technology is too great just like the humans. Its difficult to take them down naturally."
Icarus had a hand under his chin, thinking about the situation. "Yeah, but its been said the wolves in Canas have sought aide from the witches."
Sous smirked and shrugged her shoulders. "Witches aren't loyal."
The four of them decided it was best if they stayed together versus breaking up. They walked toward the wooded terrain, stepping over fallen logs and branches. It was soon they picked up the smell of a wolf.
The two Alphas and Omegas sniffed out the air, there was a small, faint trail of a nearby wolf pack. Icarus looked at them and flapped his wings to help with making the scent trail stronger.
Sniff, sniff!
Sous led the way toward the location they thought the wolves to be. They came to a river stream and acrossed it was able to see small cabins just off the bank. The scent was stronger now. Sous turned around and nodded to the three of her comrades.
"Let's go pay them a visit, uh!" She said to her friends.
Sous, Icarus, Shadow, and Shadow Jr. were instantly met with hostility when they crossed the small river into the community of wolves that were situated in the wooded hills of the snow covered mountains of the Valley of Trey.
Icarus flapped his wings and flew into the air, creating a strong gust of wind that sided with them by distracting the wolves, and knocking them off balance.
Sous hands held the blue flame as the particles surrounded her. Her using her father's power was much more easier than using the seals on her neck. These wolves had nothing on her and she knew it.
Shadow Jr. began to transform into her werewolf self. She let out a terrifying howl in which the other werewolves from the other pack were intimidated.
Click, click!
Shadow filled his double barrel shot gun and walked forward with it position high up with one eye open.
BANG!
A shot rung out when a werewolf jumped at him, two silver bullets to the chest. He turned to Sous. "Do we kill them?"
Sous had the strongest desire to say, 'Kill all of the Alphas and mate with the Omegas' . She didn't. She held her tongue not understanding where such a dark thought came from, like she was a warlord or something.
She wiped her forehead, seeing the sweat and her heart beat increasing. She was in rut!
"Sous!" Shadow screamed.
"Kill those who attack us without mercy, let live those who surrender or show us mercy." She ordered.
Shadow nodded, his shotgun barking again. Silver slugs tore through fur and flesh as wolves lunged. Gore sprayed crimson arcs across the snow, hot blood steaming in the frigid air.
A severed paw landed near Sous's boot. She didn't flinch. The blue flame roared around her fists, incinerating a snarling muzzle that got too close. The stench of burnt hair and cooked meat choked the clearing.
Icarus dove like a black arrow. Talons ripped through a wolf's spine.
CRUNCH!
He banked hard, wings buffeting two others into stumbling into Shadow Jr.'s path.
Her claws, thick and dark, hooked deep into furry bellies. She ripped upwards. Entrails spilled, glistening ropes unfurling onto the trampled, scarlet-stained snow. A high-pitched whine cut off abruptly as she crushed a windpipe underfoot.
Sous looked around at the mutilated and decapitated bodies that were on the ground. Shadow and Shadow Jr. could smell Sous was in her rut and they watched her walk off, some what too afraid to stop her.
There was a scent of an Omega whom was in heat that Sous wanted. The Omega was young, never having bore before, and wasn't mated.
Sous found this Omega hiding in her cabin with her family. When Sous found her, she saw the Omega was in her early twenties and flushed throughout the body.
The Omega followed without a fight. Behind the rural community, Sous made a nest for them, where they would be for three days. She had gone hunting and had fresh salmon.
The Omega laid down within the nest, fixing it up to make it comfortable for her.
Sous looked at the Omega and smiled softly. She leaned down to kiss her. They made love for three days each time with Sous knotting her, ensuing the Omega would take her seed and bare offspring.
On the fourth day, Sous got up and looked down at the Omega that was looking lovingly up at her.
There was a tavern Shadow, Shadow Jr. and Icarus were sitting in when Sous walked in. She sat down next to them, not speaking at first.
"Did we kill this pack's Alpha?" Sous asked.
"No, the Alpha has arranged to meet with us tomorrow morning. We shall discuss the situation with the elves then," Shadow said to her.
Sous nodded her head and began to eat.
