Chapter 41 - The Whitmore family

Laura Whitmore felt happy to see that Victoria Blackwood had taken a liking to her daughter. She took some exquisite boxes from the servants standing beside her and placed it in front of Victoria, "These are made by Julia. Just a little gesture of thoughtfulness."

Curious, Victoria picked up one of the boxes and eased off its silky ribbon. When she lifted the lid, a delightful sight greeted her — perfectly arranged cookies, each one frosted in pastel icing and shaped like tiny flowers and hearts. Some were adorned with delicate sugar pearls, while others bore intricate icing swirls that looked almost too pretty to eat.

Victoria's face softened into a delighted smile. "How lovely," she murmured, lifting one box to admire the dainty treats. "Sigh, little girl, you are usually so busy with studies and work. I never expected that you could cook too!"
