Chapter 95 - The Midnight Confession

Leon Cosmodeous, who had been so highly anticipated, ultimately fell victim to the carrots. After breakfast, the taste lingered in his mouth and nostrils all day.

In the afternoon, while playing with him, Muen asked in confusion, "Daddy, why do you look so unwell after eating carrots?"

'My dear daughter, just because you don't like purple cabbage doesn't mean you can't eat it; but when Daddy doesn't like carrots, he really can't handle carrots! You have no idea what Daddy used to be like.'

'Daddy was once the treasure of the Empire's Dragon Slayer Army. The army cooks knew Daddy disliked carrots and eggplants, so they removed all carrots and eggplants from the nutritional meals served to him after he enlisted. That's the treatment a top dragon slayer gets—like how top students can freely choose their seats in class.'

But on second thought, of all the foods, Leon only feared those two, and this morning, Rossweise had caught him red-handed. Was it really a coincidence? Or was there something more to it? He couldn't figure it out for now.

But there was no time to mourn the defeated carrots. What came next was revenge from Leon Cosmodeous!

"As a dragon slayer, I cannot let that mother dragon off easy!"

After spending so much time together, Leon had also discovered that, apart from activities in bed, Rossweise had almost no weaknesses in her daily life.

She loved bathing and cleanliness but didn't have severe OCD. She cooked excellently without any flaws and handled household chores effortlessly, from sweeping to mopping.

Finding a weakness that would ruin her appetite for a day was as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack.

"Can't eat… can't eat… oh, I've got it!"

He remembered when he was subtly questioning Anna about Rossweise's whereabouts yesterday. Anna had casually mentioned, "Her Majesty doesn't like cilantro."

Aha! He had indeed found the needle in the haystack!

During dinner, Leon volunteered to cook.

Adhering to the principle of "going all out," every dish Leon prepared was seasoned with cilantro.

No matter how cunning the mother dragon was, she couldn't escape his cilantro trap.

After preparation, Leon proudly brought the food to the table.

As the first dish of cilantro-infused grilled chicken wings was served, Rossweise's smile instantly froze.

The fragrant chicken wings emitted an enticing aroma, and the few small green specks on them were particularly eye-catching.

Rossweise took a deep breath.

Well, it was just a plate of grilled chicken wings. She could simply not eat it, right? There were other dishes anyway.

Then came the second dish, roasted fish—cilantro version.

Rossweise's frozen expression finally cracked.

Had Leon always used this much cilantro in his cooking before?

Seeing Rossweise's reaction, Leon suppressed his laughter and continued serving the dishes.

And every subsequent dish came with cilantro.

Rossweise had no escape! This was cilantro hell!

"Here, Muen, your pan-fried steak should be eaten with some vegetables too," Leon said.

"I know, Daddy~"

"Here's your roasted fish and some other side dishes. Help yourself."

After serving, Leon took his seat. Instead of eating immediately, he leisurely admired the expression on Rossweise's face.

Rossweise bit her lip and stared at the roasted fish on her plate for a while. Finally, she squeezed out, "I… I'm not very hungry. You two go ahead."

Just as she was about to get up, Leon suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist. "You were out for so long yesterday, tired from the journey, and didn't rest much. How can you skip dinner? Have a little—don't make me worry." Leon's tone was sincere, full of affection.

"…"

How nauseatingly considerate, Cosmodeous! But at least it wasn't as bad as cilantro.

"Yes, Mom, balanced nutrition is important, and so are three meals a day!"

Good daughter, whose side are you on?!

Having been inexplicably treated to a cilantro feast by Leon, Rossweise didn't know if he had done it on purpose. But to avoid setting a bad example for her daughter by not eating properly, she reluctantly sat back down, picked up her knife and fork, and looked at the cilantro-adorned roasted fish. Her voice trembled slightly, "Okay… Mom will eat."

"Mm-hmm~"

Enduring the taste of cilantro, Rossweise ate the roasted fish in small bites.

Who said there was no such thing as empathy? She now understood the pain Leon had felt during breakfast.

Even though that pain had been inflicted by her own hands.

Wait a minute—

As Rossweise chewed the fish, she glanced over the dishes on the table. Every single one had cilantro… It was hard not to suspect that this guy had done it on purpose.

So, he had eaten a whole jar of jealousy!

But how did he know she disliked cilantro? Rossweise's mind raced as she endured the overpowering scent, pondering this question.

This dinner was the most satisfying one Leon had enjoyed recently.

Hmm, cilantro truly was the most perfect food in the world!

After dinner, Muen went to rest in her room, and the couple washed dishes in the kitchen.

"Did you enjoy dinner?" Leon pressed.

Seeing through his intentions, Rossweise replied, "It was good, really well made."

Alright, stubborn dragon, I'll continue making you a cilantro feast tomorrow.

"As long as you enjoyed it," Leon said.

Rossweise chuckled, setting down the cleaned plates. Changing the subject, she said, "Tonight, I'll sleep in your room."

Leon was taken aback. "Sleep in my room…"

"Yeah, remember to tidy up. See you tonight."

With that, Rossweise wiped her hands, offering no further explanation. But even without one, Leon understood perfectly.

After all, they were an old married couple—a single glance was enough to convey such matters. No doubt, tonight's cilantro feast had sparked her desire to torment Leon again.

Besides, it had been half a month since Leon last submitted his "homework" after the hot spring battle.

In the past, when handing in "homework," Rossweise would usually choose between her own room or Leon's nursery. If she wanted to play some fancy games, like teacher or boss roleplay, she would stay in her own room.

But if she wanted a simple night of intense passion, she would go to Leon's room. The reason was that she didn't want to mess up her own room. So, tonight was going to be another intense night, huh?

However, after the initial shock, Leon quickly calmed down. Because, after a full half-month, his body's incredible recovery rate, combined with the highly nutritious dragon food, had already made him much stronger than before.

Did Rossweise think she could casually manipulate and pressure him again this time?

It wouldn't be that easy!

If she wanted to come, fine. He vowed to make this dragon regret it!

But to maintain his facade of confidence, Leon symbolically declined, "Shall we do it another day?"

As expected, the reply was, "No."

"Okay."

Alright, mother dragon, I've given you a chance. Don't beg for mercy when the time comes!

.

.

.

In the evening, Leon quickly tidied his nursery and sat quietly at his desk, waiting. Before long, the door creaked open, and Rossweise walked in wearing a thin-strapped nightgown.

She had on dragon-wing slippers, and her skirt was rather short, barely covering the top of her thighs. Her long, slender legs were exposed, exuding a fiery sensuality.

The dragon mark on her chest was faintly visible, her round, delicate shoulders fair and smooth, and her soft curves swayed slightly with each step.

As she passed Leon, a delicate fragrance mixed with the pleasant scent of shower gel wafted over, intoxicatingly alluring. Without a word, she climbed into bed and pulled back the covers to lie down.

"Did you shower?" Rossweise asked.

"Yes."

"Hmm, come here."

After a pause, she added, "Take off your shirt."

Leon silently stood up and removed his shirt. Rossweise glanced over, captivated by Leon's solid, well-defined muscles, especially his abs, which were so tempting one would want to reach out and touch them. However, that wasn't her goal tonight.

She averted her gaze and slightly closed her eyes. A few seconds later, Leon lay down beside her.

"Should I turn off the light?" Leon asked.

"Yes, please."

Click—

The bedside lamp went out, plunging the room into darkness. Moonlight filtered through the window, but Leon didn't take the opportunity to admire Rossweise's profile. He was quietly waiting for the right moment, like a lion lying in wait before a hunt.

You may not know how exaggeratedly skilled it is to take down a mother dragon effortlessly. As I often say, if Noah could take on three opponents at school and defeat them all, then it's no problem for me, Leon, to handle Rossweise alone.

Lying in wait, Leon knew he couldn't rely on kidney tonics. He didn't need to. Rossweise was as good as defeated. If only he could exchange those tonics for Dragon Strength—that would be a decisive blow.

But unfortunately, it wasn't possible. Come on, mother dragon, hurry up. Move a little faster. Stop dawdling. I still need to take you down.

But as time ticked away, Rossweise remained motionless. Leon turned his head and found her eyes closed, breathing steadily. Was she… asleep? What about the intense passion? How could she fall asleep?

Leon gently nudged her arm. "Hey, hey." No response. She was really asleep. Damn it. Did she really come to my room just to sleep and nothing else?

Leon's mind raced. Rossweise was now asleep. If he took her down now… No, it wasn't the right time. She usually liked to be the aggressor, so counterattacking would be more meaningful.

And Leon had spent half a month building up his strength. He couldn't afford to waste it so easily. Resources should be used where they matter most.

With these thoughts, Leon shifted away from Rossweise, creating some distance, and drifted off to sleep himself.

However, in the early hours of the morning, around two o'clock, silver eyes slowly opened.

Rossweise quietly sat up and gently nudged Leon's shoulder. "Wake up, I'm going to punish you. Wake up."

Leon didn't respond.

Rossweise smiled knowingly. "Very well."

She glanced at the clock on the wall—exactly half-past two. Tiger had said that if Leon was asleep at half-past two, there was a chance she could hear his inner thoughts by asking questions.

Rossweise couldn't wait to test it.

She didn't hesitate about what to ask—she had already decided.

"Let's start with a simple test," Rossweise cleared her throat. "Leon Cosmodeous, what's your youngest daughter's name?"

"Mmm…" Leon murmured in his sleep but didn't answer Rossweise's question.

Rossweise frowned. "Could it not be working tonight?"

Just as she was considering whether to try again tomorrow night, she heard Leon mumble drowsily, "Muen… Muen C. Melkvey."

Rossweise's eyes lit up. "Aha! Got it."

A perfect answer—they were truly family!

"Now, for the second question: what did the girl you rejected in five seconds during your school days look like?"

Combining relationship history and embarrassing past equals a double critical hit!

Leon hummed, "Hmm… Silver hair, tall… Kind of pretty…"

Rossweise lowered her gaze and snorted coldly. "After all these years, you still remember her so clearly. What a dog. So why did you hesitate for five seconds to reject her but were quick with everyone else?"

"Mmm… hehe~ hehehe~"

"Why are you laughing? Give me a proper answer!"

"She… she's pretty… hehe…"

Rossweise's face darkened imperceptibly. "Then why did you reject her? Why not go date her if you think she's pretty?"

"Because… um… because I only like silver hair and tall girls… not her."

Hearing this, Rossweise softened slightly. "Then what else do you like?"

"I also like… mature women, black stockings, bunny girls…"

[Author's Note: My man indirectly and unconsciously mentioned Rossweise.]

Rossweise suppressed a smile, clasping her hands to her chest as if she had discovered an incredible secret. "So you like bunny girls, huh, you dog."

This was something even his master didn't know. An unexpected surprise!

"Do you… want that five-second girl from school to dress up as a bunny girl for you?"

"N… no…"

Rossweise: "Then who do you want to see in a bunny girl outfit?"

"Um… Rossweise."

Rossweise: ?

Well, dream on. As the esteemed Silver Dragon Queen, I would never dress up as a bunny girl for you!

[Leon: You sure about that, mother dragon?]
