Chapter 107 - The Hunt for the Photos

Something wasn't right.

Not at all.

Rossweise felt completely numb.

They had started at seven in the evening.

But now it was past one in the morning, and there was no sign of Leon slowing down.

Rossweise tried to analyze the reason for his relentless energy.

First, there was the half-month of conserved stamina. This guy's recovery speed was nothing like a normal person's. What might take others two or three months to recover from, he managed in just over a week.

That was why Rossweise had strictly enforced the "three days and one night" rule before. If she wasn't careful, he would quietly grow beyond her control—just like now.

Second, the bunny girl costume plus the black stockings equaled a double critical hit and a "growing stronger with each battle" buff.

The two things that affected him most were now combined on Rossweise's person. Since such an opportunity might not come again, he was going all out tonight.

Finally, there was their old friend, the dragon mark. Every time, it played a far greater role than Rossweise had initially expected.

After who knows how many rounds of intense battle, Rossweise collapsed exhaustedly onto the bed. Her head was spinning, her limbs were sore, and she desperately wanted to sleep. Even her mighty dragon body couldn't withstand such exertion. She needed rest, she needed to recover!

However, before she could lie down for even five minutes, Leon gently caught hold of her tail. It was the prelude to the next round.

Rossweise's tail tip twitched reflexively, but her exhausted body had no strength left to struggle.

"Can we… Can we continue tomorrow?" Rossweise pleaded.

"No. What must be done today must be done today. Have you forgotten the teacher's motto?" Leon replied.

Rossweise rolled her eyes speechlessly—she had done that many times tonight, not all from exasperation—and said, "But it's already past midnight. From seven last night until now, it's already beyond 'today's tasks for today,' isn't it?"

"Wrong, Student Melkvey. It seems I'll need to give you extra math lessons another time," Leon said with false seriousness.

"What must be done today must be done today. This 'today' starts from the moment the statement is made. In other words, from seven last night until seven tonight counts as 'today.'"

Just hearing this made Rossweise's tail curl tightly. "Y-you don't really mean to continue until seven tonight, do you? Please tell me you're joking."

"Of course not," Leon replied.

Rossweise breathed an internal sigh of relief. However, his next words made her heart sink.

"I will give you time to eat."

Rossweise: ?

Rossweise felt overwhelmed. Only one mealtime? Was she some kind of endlessly regenerating resource? Was this how he treated her?

Seeing the expression on her face, Leon added, "What's wrong, Student Melkvey? Aren't you satisfied with the breaks your teacher is giving you?"

Rossweise turned her head away. "I'm satisfied, teacher. I'm very satisfied. At least you're giving me time to eat."

"Ah, your words wound me," Leon pretended to be hurt. "How about this? I'll give you another half hour to spend with Muen. How does that sound?"

Rossweise gritted her teeth. "Th-thank you, teacher."

"Don't mention it. If you really want to thank me, then pay close attention during my lessons. Understood?"

Wordlessly, Rossweise nodded.

Leon glanced at the clock. It was indeed very late. Continuing like this might disrupt his recovery rhythm.

Even after half a month of rest, Leon couldn't afford to squander all his energy at once. That would give this mother dragon an opening to counterattack.

What was that phrase? Ah, yes. "Slow and steady wins the race."

He gently patted Rossweise's flushed cheek and then got up from the bed, putting his clothes back on.

"That's all for today's lesson. You did very well, Student Melkvey. We'll continue another time."

Rossweise grabbed the blanket and pulled it over herself, her jade-like fingers pinching the corner as she watched Leon leave, her eyes filled with unwillingness and anger.

You dog of a man, just you wait!

.

.

.

The next evening, Rossweise finished her work early and returned to her room. Standing on the balcony, she looked toward the backyard where Leon was playing games with Muen. He probably wouldn't be back for a while.

"A perfect opportunity."

The Silver Dragon Queen turned and quickly headed to Leon's room. Once inside, she went straight to the bedroom.

Her first target was the pillow. Rossweise tore it open and reached inside, searching left and right, but found nothing.

Next was the bedsheet. She lifted it up and searched underneath, but still couldn't find the backup bunny girl photos Leon had hidden.

After rummaging around for a while, Rossweise put the blanket and pillow back in place.

She furrowed her brows, hands on her hips, surveying Leon's room. "Where could he have hidden them…"

It seemed the only way to break Leon's winning streak was to find those backup photos.

And Leon knew those backups were the key to his immunity, so he would definitely hide them in a very secret place, one Rossweise wouldn't easily discover.

At this point, the couple's goals were clear:

Leon: Hide the photos to maintain control.

Rossweise: Find the photos to regain control.

When will this cycle of grievances end? It's all nonsense!

Only by holding absolute control can one protect their position in the family!

A prisoner of war can't turn the tide! What a joke!

Muttering to herself, the queen continued searching the room. She looked in the vase, the desk, under the bed, and on the balcony, but there wasn't a trace of the photos.

After bustling around for a while, Rossweise couldn't help but wonder, "Is this guy deceiving me… Maybe there are no backup photos at all?"

But she quickly dismissed the thought. If there were no backups, Leon wouldn't be so arrogant. Since she couldn't find them in his room, she had no choice but to look elsewhere.

As she stepped toward the door, she heard a faint sound from the lock.

Oh no!

Leon was back.

She couldn't let him catch her in his room; he'd figure out she was searching for the photos immediately!

Rossweise instinctively took a half-step back, looking around for a place to hide. In desperation, she darted into the nearest place—the bathroom.

Pressing against the bathroom door, Rossweise listened carefully to the sounds outside.

"Muen, Dad has something to do tonight, so I won't play with you anymore. Go to bed early, okay?"

"Alright, goodnight, Dad."

"Goodnight."

Well, Leon, you've made your plans perfectly clear, even your daughter's bedtime.

Click—the sound of the door closing.

At that moment, Rossweise was just one wall away from Leon. It was still early after dinner, so he shouldn't come to the bathroom to shower yet, right?

Her assumption was reasonable. Normally, Leon wouldn't shower immediately upon returning home, giving her a chance to slip away later.

However…

She overlooked an important factor—

Dragon Slayers have a natural sensitivity to dragons!

As soon as Leon closed the door, he caught a faint, yet familiar scent.

It was… Rossweise's fragrance.

He didn't pay it much mind at first. After all, it was normal for her scent to linger since she often came and went from his room.

Leon took off his shoes in the hallway and entered the room. But as he stood in the living room, he suddenly stopped.

The pillows, blankets, sofa cushions, and various decorations… Everything seemed arranged in an orderly manner.

It was so tidy it didn't look like his room anymore.

After a moment's thought, Leon understood what was happening.

"So, you couldn't resist coming to look for the photos after all."

With that, he turned and headed toward the door, planning to use this as an excuse to torment Rossweise tonight.

However, as he briskly passed the bathroom door, he stopped again.

Leon slowly turned his head, gazed at the bathroom door, and tilted his head curiously.

Then, he chuckled softly.

Afterward, he withdrew his gaze and opened the main door.

Upon hearing the click of the door lock, Rossweise inside the bathroom immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

But she didn't celebrate her narrow escape. Leon was heading to her room to interrogate her. If he found her absent, he would definitely come back. She couldn't stay any longer; she had to get out quickly.

Once outside, she could circle back to her own balcony from Leon's balcony. Their rooms were adjacent, so he wouldn't notice anything amiss.

Having calculated her plan, Rossweise slowly pressed down on the door handle…

Creak…

"Ah!"

As Rossweise opened the door, she was startled by the figure standing right outside, her tail instinctively curling up in fright.

Leon, arms crossed, leaned casually against the bathroom doorframe, whistling. "Melkvey, did you sneak into the teacher's room to steal the exam answers?"

So he had already discovered her!

His act of opening and closing the door earlier was intentional, just to alert her!

Rossweise recoiled immediately and then, with a swift movement, pressed her hand firmly against the door panel.

Meanwhile, Leon calmly switched on the bathroom light. Through the frosted glass door, he could vaguely see Rossweise's figure blocking the way.

"Ahem…"

Leon cleared his throat. Rossweise had no idea what new trick he was about to pull.

"Next, Mr. Leon Cosmodeous will perform a song requested by Student Melkvey: 'Little Bunny, Open the Door.' Also, Mr. Cosmodeous has a message for Student Melkvey: 'Your bunny outfit from last night was amazing!'"

Rossweise: …

"Little bunny, be good, open the door~"

"You stubborn dog! I won't open it!" Rossweise retorted.

"Open it quickly~ I~ want~ to~ come~ in~" Leon sang, placing his hand on the bathroom door handle.

"I'll count to three. If I can't open this door, Isha will receive your bunny girl photos in three hours—"

A gust of wind swept by as the bathroom glass door was pushed open from inside.

Rossweise stood in the doorway, her expression a mix of resentment and helplessness. Her silver dragon eyes glared at Leon as if she wanted to pounce on him and ravage him wildly.

Leon smiled with satisfaction. "That's more like it, Student Melkvey."

Rossweise glared at him, taking a step to walk past and just comply. But Leon seemed to have other plans… punishment on the spot?

Clap—

Leon lifted his arm, pressing his hand against the door frame, blocking Rossweise's path.

She understood his intention from his posture.

As Leon stepped forward, Rossweise slowly retreated. Once they were both inside the bathroom, Leon closed the glass door behind them.

The glow of their dragon marks began to flicker, signaling an imminent clash.

Standing before Rossweise, Leon gently tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Why did you come to my room? Were you that eager to begin tonight's lesson?"

Rossweise nervously twisted her skirt, her tail curling with tension. She avoided his gaze, but her cheeks turned visibly red, like a blush spreading across a lake at sunset.

Though unwilling in her heart, she was helpless.

Man proposes, but fate disposes. She was at his mercy, like a fish on the chopping block, resigned to her fate!

Leon's fingertips traced over her flushed cheeks, finally gently gripping her chin, forcing her to look up at him.

After briefly admiring the Silver Dragon Queen's defiant yet powerless expression, Leon lightly draped his hand over her fragrant shoulder.

Rossweise shivered slightly, casting a sidelong glance at her own shoulder.

Leon unhurriedly slipped the straps of her dress off, revealing her smooth, rounded shoulders and a corner of the dragon mark.

He took a step forward, gently pressing against Rossweise.

Rossweise clicked her tongue lightly but could only allow him to have his way.

Leon grew bolder. He reached out and turned on the nearby shower. Warm water cascaded down, instantly enveloping them both.

Her silver hair stuck to her cheeks, and steam rose around them instantly.

Beneath the thin, wet fabric of her dress, her skin was as smooth as jade. The water flowed over her graceful curves, inviting wild thoughts.

"Little bunny, sneaking into my room to do naughty things? Then the teacher must give you a proper lesson."
