Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Pulse Echoes

The E.E.A. began targeting families now.

Rumors spread that they were testing bloodlines for inherited anomalies. Whole apartment blocks vanished overnight. Confidence intercepted a signal warning agents to approach "suspected offspring with extreme caution."

Anthony's parents were still okay—but he could feel the net tightening.

"We need to get them out," he said.

Confidence nodded grimly. "We can't move everyone at once. We need a major distraction."

Anthony stepped outside, his mind buzzing.

Three seconds later, he was standing on top of the E.E.A. tower, wind tearing at his hoodie.

He raised his hand—and a glowing Vanta-Blue symbol burned into the metal beneath his feet.

Every drone in Abuja glitched. Every scanner blacked out.

From across the city, Confidence stared at her screen. "You just shorted their entire grid..."

Anthony reappeared behind her. "That should buy us a few hours."
