Chi-Chi held up a blood-sample rack. "They're splicing Pulse-energy into DNA. Creating living weapons—"
Alarms screamed.
Walls peeled open. Three E.E.A. Variant-enforcers emerged:
One with vibrating sound-blades for hands.
One hovering in a kinetic force-bubble.
A woman with violet eyes and a Sigma Clearance badge.
"Senior Operative Nyla," she said, smiling coldly at Anthony.
"You're not on our charts. Curious."
Her gaze dropped to his shadow—coiling like smoke.
"What are you, little ghost?"
