The water swirled around me and I could only watch helplessly as it slowly submerged me until it sucked me in completely, enveloping me without a hint of gentleness. My body was tossed from side to side, battered by violent invisible currents that attacked me without mercy, as if they had a will of their own. But at the same time, I felt that they were being controlled by someone. For a few brief seconds, I lost all sense of direction: I didn't know which way was up or down, which way the lake was moving, or even where my own body was within that liquid maelstrom.
The strong current moved me as if teleporting me directly to the bottom, without giving me time to react. I tried to resist, but the water enveloped me like a solid wall, as if a rope restricted all my movements. Every attempt to swim felt useless, as if the very force of the lake was conspiring against me. It was then that I noticed how the water began to take shape...
