"So… you're saying you never told him anything about what I like? Or maybe my obsession over… vanilla?" Daisy asked as she stepped out of the taxi, heading toward the entrance of the care facility building. Her tone wasn't accusing, more like she was double-checking something she already knew.
"No, I never told him any…" Aurora paused, as if quickly scanning her memory. "Wait… no. I'm sure I never told him anything like that."
Daisy nodded to herself, lips pressed into a thin line. "I figured. Just wanted to make sure."
She pushed open the glass door, holding the phone between her shoulder and ear as she signed in at the front desk.
"How about Elias?" The question slipped out before she could stop it. "Have you ever met him?"
There was a brief silence on the other end before Aurora responded, confused, "Elias? Who's that?"
Daisy gasped softly, something clicking in her mind. "Ah—never mind. He's just… a friend of mine."
