Without hesitation, the men yanked Mira's father and mother down to the floor. Brutal kicks and stomps rained down on them. Her parents cried out in agony, curling up, trying desperately to shield themselves from the assault.
"NO! STOP IT!" Mira screamed through the gag. "DON'T HURT THEM! PLEASE! LEAVE THEM ALONE!"
She writhed and twisted, thrashing violently against the ropes that bound her, but no matter how hard she fought, it was useless.
"LET THEM GO! I'LL DO ANYTHING! PLEASE, STOP THIS!"
The boy watched it all with twisted satisfaction. A slow, mocking laugh escaped his lips.
"Look at you, HA HA HA" he sneered. "So much for that terrifying monster act. Now you're just a scared little girl."
He chuckled again, shaking his head in mock disappointment.
"This is what you get, Mira. This is what happens when someone like you thinks she can stand above everyone else."
