Chapter 5 - Unforseen

He was still alive.

And he was reaching out to me.

i woke up from my short nap, David, no, the entity who is Infront of me, i took the chance to grab David's suit, grabbed the entity closer, close enough the feel his mouth, i pried his mouth open, then thrusted my tounge against his.

wow, i cant believe I'm making out with a sea monster underwater what a great outcome, i thought sarcasticly.

while kissing the entity, it didn't physically feel that i was kissing David, considering it was David's body, i really but not entirely feels like I'm kissing the entity, i could feel it, the sorrow, loneness, anger and despair

The entity recoiled, a visible ripple of shock distorting its features. The green light flickered, its intensity wavering. It hadn't expected this. It wanted experience, yes, but this intimate invasion, this forced connection, was… different. Unforeseen.

I held on tight, refusing to break the connection. I poured my own memories, my own emotions into the kiss. I showed it the sunsets I had seen, the laughter I had shared, the pain I had endured. I flooded it with the mundane beauty of human existence, the chaotic mess of love and loss and everything in between.

The entity thrashed, trying to break free. But I held firm, my grip tightening. I knew this was my only chance. The green light surged again, trying to overwhelm me, to push me back into the oblivion it had prepared. But I pushed back harder, drawing strength from David, from the faint but persistent flicker of his consciousness within the maelstrom.

The taste of the entity was cold, alien, like metal and ozone. But beneath that, I could sense something else, something buried deep within the layers of its vast, ancient awareness. A flicker of… longing? A hint of curiosity?

I intensified the kiss, deepening the connection. I showed it David's memories: his awkward first date, his graduation ceremony, the countless hours he spent tinkering with engines in his garage. I showed it his dreams, his fears, his hopes for the future.

The thrashing subsided. The entity went still, its body rigid against mine. The green light dimmed, replaced by a faint, pulsing blue. Something was changing.

The grinding sound from the obelisk grew louder, more frantic. The entity's warped voice echoed in my mind, no longer laced with arrogance, but with something akin to panic. "Stop! What are you doing?"

I ignored it. I kept kissing, kept sharing, kept pouring every ounce of my being into the connection. I was offering it a choice: a genuine, human experience, instead of a stolen, diluted imitation.

The blue light intensified, bathing the cave in its ethereal glow. The entity shuddered, its form flickering erratically. The David-shaped puppet began to tremble.

Then, a voice, faint and raspy, but undeniably David's, whispered in my mind. "…Help…"

I nearly broke the connection, overwhelmed by relief. He was still there! Buried, suppressed, but still fighting.

Taking a deep breath, I redoubled my efforts. I showed him the memory of our last dive, the thrill of exploring the reef, the camaraderie we shared. I showed him my unwavering belief in him, my refusal to give up on him.

The entity screamed, a sound that bypassed my ears and resonated directly in my soul. The David-shaped puppet convulsed violently, its limbs flailing.

Suddenly, the connection broke.

Davids body floated in the dark sea.

"finally" i thought then swam towards David and grabbed him, and paddled my fins to the upper surface, but before i could.

my body slammed in the cave wall, David, no it was not David, the entity.

a sudden intrusion went inside my mouth, "mngh..!" i mouth, why is he...kissing?!
