They rested for half an hour every two hours, gradually pushing deeper into the forest. As time passed, the spirit energy clinging to their bodies grew so dense that it exceeded their immediate ability to absorb it all.
The sky slowly brightened.
They had reached the eve of their first full day in the rebellion spirit ascension platform. More than ten hours had already passed, but their final exam required them to survive for a full twenty-four.
That had never been a concern.
"Let's rest here," Ray said.
Hunger meant nothing in the spirit ascension platform. Their bodies here were projections; real needs would only return once they exited.
