Charlotte's gulped, a shiver running through her. She knew that look, he was plotting payback for her snitching. Her playful grin faltered, and she shifted, ready to bolt from the sofa and hide behind Yelena for protection.
But before she could move, Mika pounced, pinning her to the couch. His body loomed over her, one hand restraining both of hers above her head, leaving her helpless.
His smile was cruel, like a predator who'd caught a bunny in his trap.
"You've always done this, Charlotte." He said, his voice low and teasing. "Whenever I do something even slightly wrong, you run to Yelena, tattle, and get me in trouble. You love watching me get scolded while you sit there giggling like the little devil you are."
