Mika wasn't just simply feeling frustrated by the sudden interruption; the reaction that gripped him now—the heavy panting, the flushed skin, the look of genuine, suppressed pain—stemmed from a much deeper, more volatile source.
He was holding back, struggling against an invisible force that threatened to make him do something horrific.
This was all because of the Will of the World.
Mika knew the voice of the Will of the World, the intrusive, overwhelming presence from the other world that constantly whispered dark commands into his mind, particularly when he was vulnerable or asleep.
It urged him to do truly terrible things: massacre everyone, destroy the cities, annihilate the world, and, most pressingly, impregnate all the women he encountered.
For the most part, Mika successfully managed to block these directives.
He consciously fought against those desires and maintained his own moral compass.
