"I don't need you and I don't think I ever will." Zolan kept rambling until Levi finally gagged him with his palm.
"Man, can you stop acting like a lady and just keep it shut already? He was here to save you—almost dying in the process—and this is how you say thank you?" Levi reprimanded sharply.
Kayden, who had been silently boiling, was caught off guard by the unexpected credit Levi had just thrown his way.
"He showed me where you were. I don't know what happened or how it came about, but we never knew it was in this dungeon. And you, Zolan—you would have died a shameful death."
Zolan immediately held his tongue, glancing at Kayden, who still refused to look in his direction.
"I just… I'm tired and hungry. Please. Food," Zolan finally muttered, still refusing to apologize.
