Before we returned to our own world, the Onmyoji gifted us with charms bearing a black stone. Pressing the stone would send data about our surroundings — a way for the people of the Void Realm to know if we were in trouble.
Unfortunately, only Riven could open a way back into the Void Realm. We all left with the understanding that we'd have to ask him for a portal every time.
"Aimer, are you sure you won't choose a mentor? You could grow much stronger."
Aimer glanced at me.
"No. I don't think I want to. Or rather… I don't need to. It's enough for me if you can become stronger."
She smiled at me, but I could see the bitterness behind it.
"We still have plenty of time to train," Sylas said. "Aimer, you can always change your mind. So don't torture yourself over this choice."
"Yeah. It's fine."
With a sigh, we stepped into the portal. Inside, the coordinator asked where each of us wanted to go. In the end, we decided to part ways here and return to our homes.
