The divine pattern on Tang Xiao's forehead lit up, and immediately his spirit rings descended one by one.
Four black, five red—such a spirit ring configuration revolved around Tang Xiao. Behind him appeared the enormous phantom of his true martial soul body: a giant, dark-skinned shadow with long arms and short legs. It beat its chest with ape-like arms, roaring wildly with primitive savagery.
The power of an Ultimate Duoluo was fully displayed in Tang Xiao at this moment. Yet what troubled Bo Saixi most was not his strength—for in the ocean's domain, she feared no Ultimate Duoluo—but the divine mark shining on his forehead.
"You are a divine trial taker! I can feel an evil aura from your divine mark. Tang Xiao, have you been corrupted by an Evil God?!" Bo Saixi exclaimed in shock.
"Silence! I have not been corrupted by any Evil God. On the contrary—I embraced the gift of the Evil God. I will change this unjust world into one that satisfies me, hehehe… Rakshasa Domain—!"
As he spoke, an evil domain spread from Tang Xiao's body in all directions.
Bo Saixi closed her eyes, then opened them again, murderous intent flashing in her gaze.
If earlier she had still felt a trace of compassion for him as an old acquaintance's descendant, now she only wanted him destroyed.
A divine trial taker hostile to the Seagod would become the gravest threat to Seagod Island. Eliminating him was her sacred duty as High Priestess.
But just as she resolved this, when the Seagod Domain clashed with the Rakshasa Domain, instead of evenly contending, the Rakshasa Domain corroded and pressed down upon the Seagod Domain.
The people of Seagod Island were astonished.
"The High Priestess is being suppressed—even here on the sea? How is this possible?" Sea Dragon Douluo cried.
Bo Saixi could no longer hold back; she was forced to draw upon her dwindling divine power to resist the Rakshasa Domain's erosion.
The battle raged in the sky above the ocean, one blue and one black radiance colliding violently.
From the very start, Bo Saixi fell into a desperate position.
Tang Xiao's Rakshasa Domain severed her connection with the sea. Without the ocean's blessing, her strength was weakened.
The scythe shadows of Tang Xiao's Rakshasa Scythe danced wildly, forcing Bo Saixi only to defend, unable to counterattack.
"Bo Saixi, I know you've always been waiting for my grandfather. Do you know where he is now?" Tang Xiao asked as he pressed the attack with ease.
"Where is he?" Bo Saixi demanded.
"My grandfather? Hmph, he was just a selfish man. For the sake of chasing after his so-called beloved wife, for the sake of godhood, he abandoned our Clear Sky Sect, walking the path to godhood alone. In the end, he was trapped within the land of divine trials, becoming a high priest just like you, hehehe."
Tang Xiao's mockery was scathing, as if the Tang Chen he spoke of was no grandfather of his.
"How can that be…" Bo Saixi's face turned pale. Then she rebuked: "Tang Xiao, he is your grandfather. How can you speak of him so?"
"So what if he is my grandfather?" Tang Xiao sneered. Then he pointed to the Slave behind him. "Bo Saixi, do you know who that is?"
Bo Saixi's heart skipped a beat as she looked at the Slave.
"Hehehe… that's my father, Tang Tian." Tang Xiao pointed proudly at the Slave, speaking as though it were not his father but a trophy.
"Tang Xiao, you beast—you actually turned your own father into a Slave?!" Bo Saixi's voice was filled with disbelief.
"Beast?" Tang Xiao's expression twisted with hatred. "Do you know? My father, Tang Tian, died under my dear younger brother Tang Hao's Clear Sky Hammer. Compared to that, what is digging him up from the grave and transforming him into a Slave, to at least make use of his remaining value? That younger brother of mine—he's the real beast!"
"You… you two brothers—" Bo Saixi was at a loss for words to describe Tang Xiao and Tang Hao.
"So, Bo Saixi," Tang Xiao continued coldly, "once I destroy Seagod Island, invade the continent, and ascend as a god, I will go to the Eternal Forbidden Land, rescue my grandfather from his divine prison, and turn him into my Slave as well. So why don't you too… become my Slave? I'll let you reunite with my grandfather in the future."
He attacked smoothly with his Rakshasa Scythe while extending an inviting hand.
"Silence! I, Bo Saixi, live as Seagod's servant and die as Seagod's ghost. I will never serve anyone but the Seagod!" she retorted sternly.
"Seagod? Hahaha! Bo Saixi, do you know why I dared to invade Seagod Island first instead of Spirit Hall? Because one picks the soft fruit first. In the God Realm, the Seagod is already gone—that's what my god told me. Even if he hadn't fallen, what of it? In the God Realm, Seagod is just a servant to the true deities—not even worthy of carrying my Rakshasa God's shoes, hahaha!"
"What?! Seagod Lord has fallen?" The entire Seagod Island erupted in panic.
"You are the High Priestess, possessing Seagod's divine power. If Seagod still existed, your divine power would be endless. But now… why is it that your divine power keeps draining?" Tang Xiao asked mockingly.
Bo Saixi fell silent.
After several exchanges, she already knew—her divine power was diminishing with every use. The truth was too dreadful to contemplate, yet Tang Xiao had forced it into the open.
"Silence! Lord Seagod is eternal. How can you, alone, declare otherwise?" she rebuked him, though her eyes carried a trace of grim resolve.
No matter what had become of Seagod, she could not allow Tang Xiao to set foot on Seagod Island. With his depravity, if he entered, the entire island would be enslaved and subjugated.
Gathering all her remaining divine power into her Seagod martial soul, Bo Saixi unleashed her final strike—Seagod's Twilight!
A sea-blue radiance tore through the darkness. Within the torrent of divine power, Tang Xiao at first remained disdainful and calm, but as the strike approached, he was finally shaken.
This was Bo Saixi's ultimate attack. Through the glow of divine power, Tang Xiao saw her beauty wither into old age, and at last, she turned into dust. Her very soul burned away to nothingness with this blow.
In her final moment of awareness, Bo Saixi watched as Tang Xiao's body collapsed and disintegrated under the brilliance of the Seagod's light.
Deprived of their master, the Slave army behind him also lost consciousness, standing frozen like puppets.
I gambled correctly, Bo Saixi thought. Kill Tang Xiao, and the Slave Legion will be headless. The future of Seagod Island—I leave it to you, Seven Sacred Pillar Guardians.
Bo Saixi… and Tang Xiao—both had fallen!
Rakshasa Temple
The Rakshasa God, her cheeks still flushed, walked out from her private chamber. She lazily seated herself upon her divine throne, opening her divine vision to check on that "black-headed Great Chieftain" she had been raising down in the mortal realm.
But the instant her sight opened, her expression changed.
She had been too distracted—playing a few thrilling games with Little Shura. In her carelessness, she had allowed her black-headed chieftain to die?
Thinking of the task Huo Yuhao had entrusted to her, a bead of cold sweat trickled down her temple.
Still, this wasn't too big a problem.
So, the Rakshasa God sent a touch of divine power down toward the Douluo Continent.
She didn't do much—merely gave Tang Xiao a little "cheat." Nothing serious, just… resurrection.
Sea God Island
The oppressive clouds in the sky dissipated.
The Slave army, having lost their master, stood motionless like puppets.
Bo Saixi had perished along with Tang Xiao. Sea God Island had won the war of invasion—but they had lost their High Priestess.
The entire island was steeped in grief.
Sea Dragon Douluo stepped forward. "Everyone, the High Priestess used her life to protect Sea God Island. Now she has returned to the Sea God's embrace. It is our duty to continue protecting our home and destroy these invading heretical fiends! Follow me—kill these Slave!"
The sea spirit masters and the Seven Sacred Pillar Douluo gathered, burning with righteous fury, ready to seize this chance to drive the Slave army into the depths of the sea.
But suddenly—at the place where Tang Xiao had fallen, his masterless Rakshasa Scythe trembled. From the heavens and earth came a sharp, piercing howl:
"Rise again, my little insects—!"
Divine power surged, condensing into black mist at the spot of Tang Xiao's death. The fog formed into a dark-skinned, long-armed, short-legged figure.
The silhouette opened blood-red eyes. Steam hissed from his nostrils. Raising his overly long ape-like arms, the black mist poured down his body. With a savage baboon roar, he beat his chest and seized the Rakshasa Scythe, swinging it wildly.
Tang Xiao was resurrected.
As he revived, the silent Slave behind him stirred as well. The high-ranking Slave of the Clear Sky Sect opened bloodshot eyes, panting like enraged bulls. They joined Tang Xiao's wild roars, thumping their chests with ape-like arms, hauling out Clear Sky Hammers, and readying themselves for battle.
"Y-you… how can you still be alive?" Sea Dragon Douluo's face turned grim. The sea spirit masters felt as though they had plunged into an icy abyss.
Tang Xiao possessed the might of a Limit Douluo. Even Bo Saixi had needed to sacrifice herself to drag him to hell. Yet now, she was gone—soul and all—and Tang Xiao had climbed back from the abyss. This cheat… this was beyond shameless.
"Hmph, I was careless, allowing Bo Saixi to take me down with her. But it no longer matters." Tang Xiao sneered coldly. "I have returned from hell itself. Your High Priestess has gone to meet the Sea God, and no one remains to stop me from turning this entire island into my Slave paradise. Slave—kill! Let every living thing in sight become one of mine!"
The wicked Rakshasa Domain spread out from him, engulfing all directions.
The Clear Sky Sect's Title Douluo surged toward the Sea God Island defenders.
From behind, the Slave fleet seized the chance to land, clashing fiercely with the sea spirit masters.
Sea God Island, truth be told, had always relied on Bo Saixi alone. Without her, the strongest of the Seven Sacred Pillar Douluo was only Sea Dragon Douluo. Any one of Spirit Hall's worship-level Douluo could crush their seven protectors with ease.
Though weaker than Spirit Hall, the Clear Sky Sect still boasted formidable power. Among Tang Xiao's transformed Slave were Super Douluo like Tang Ba (rank 97) and Tang Tian (rank 95). With the Rakshasa Domain severing the sea from the spirit masters, the Seven Sacred Pillars quickly fell into disadvantage.
The battle across Sea God Island fared no better. Once the Slave from the Clear Sky Sect and Slaughter City made landfall, they began slaughtering indiscriminately.
Wherever the Slave army passed, the Rakshasa Domain followed.
Even when one of the Slave fell, after a short while he would crawl back up from the evil domain, rejoining the fray. To the sea spirit masters, it was like fighting an immortal legion.
Worse still—every time one of their own died, that fallen spirit master would immediately resurrect from hell as a Slave, turning his blade upon former comrades.
The sea spirit masters had never faced such horror. At first, faith sustained them, but as they watched their friends and family die, only to rise again as snarling Slave, despair consumed them. Their lines collapsed.
"O great Sea God, hear your followers' prayers! An evil god is invading your domain—please, save Sea God Island!"
"O merciful Sea God, have pity—save your faithful, we beg you!"
But no matter how they prayed, the Sea God did not respond.
Tang Xiao flashed through the battlefield, bypassing the Title Douluo. He arrived at the Sea God Sacred Statue, the holy site of prayer. Before the horrified eyes of the faithful, he planted a foot on the statue's mouth—and shamelessly relieved himself like a silver-backed gorilla.
"Stop! You blaspheme against Lord Sea God!"
"Sea God, strike down this desecrator with divine punishment!" The sea spirit masters howled in madness.
Tang Xiao leapt onto the statue's head, laughing. "Blasphemy? So what if I blaspheme today? If Sea God dares, let him smite me with his divine wrath! Come on, Poseidon—punish me, if you're not just trash! Hahahahaha!"
He roared at the sky, yet no punishment descended. The faithful, shaken, began to doubt. Could it be true—had their almighty Sea God really fallen, just as Tang Xiao claimed?
At last, the final Sacred Pillar Guardian, Sea Dragon Douluo, was slain beneath Tang Ba's Clear Sky Hammer. His body too was converted into a Slave.
The resistance dwindled to scattered embers. The outcome was beyond reversal.
Tang Xiao ordered every Slave who had once been a sea spirit master to climb the Sea God statue and defile it in turn, thereby humiliating Poseidon and declaring the island the property of his Slave army.
Then he commanded the statue of Poseidon torn down. In its place rose a colossal effigy of himself—majestic in size, but comically resembling a silver-backed gorilla holding aloft the Rakshasa Scythe.
Sea God Island was remade into Tang Xiao's Slave paradise. He erected tribal tents, forced the Slave to carve out plantations, and ordered mass cultivation of watermelon, cotton, baobab trees, and other cash crops. The high-ranking Slave of the Clear Sky Sect and Slaughter City wielded great whips, driving the lesser sea spirit master Slave to toil in the fields.
