Chapter 68 - Chapter 67: The Honest Apology

Thaddeus' jaw tightened, his body going rigid. He stayed inside Kayden, refusing to move, as if pulling out would mean losing him forever. "Kayden…" Listen to me." His thumb brushed over Kayden's wet cheek, but his eyes blazed with fury, not at Kayden, but at the thought. "There is no woman. I have no one. Do you understand me? I would never belong to anyone but you."

Kayden shook his head, tears spilling harder. "Then why… why would my father say that?" His chest heaved with broken breaths, the tears not stopping. His legs trembled around Thaddeus, torn between the intimacy still binding them and the ache in his heart.

Okay, look at me.

Thaddeus leaned in, pressing his lips fiercely against Kayden's, each kiss possessive, desperate, as if he could hold onto him forever. Every movement spoke what words couldn't, ownership, longing, and an unspoken promise.

"Do you trust me, Kayden?" he whispered between kisses, his breath hot against Kayden's lips.
