"Thad, I'm in your city. I'll be at your house in 30 minutes."
Thaddeus gently shook Kayden's shoulder, leaning close as he whispered into his ear, "Wake up, Kayden… your dad is here."
Kayden stirred, his eyelids fluttering as he tried to shake off sleep. "My… dad is what?" he murmured, voice still heavy with drowsiness.
Thaddeus smiled and brushed a strand of hair from his face. "Your dad is around, and he'll be here in less than thirty minutes," he said, his tone calm but urgent enough to get Kayden fully alert.
"What? My dad is here?!" Kayden's eyes went wide, and his heart raced. "If my dad is here, then I can't… I can't be in your room!"
He glanced at Thaddeus and froze, noticing the oversized shirt draped over him. His panic spiked. "Where are my clothes?!" he shouted, scrambling to find something to cover himself.
Thaddeus leaned back calmly, watching him flail. "Relax," he said gently, though amusement glimmered in his eyes.
