Chapter 81 - Chapter 80: Back Where I Belong

Kayden's grip tightened around his phone. Don't panic. Just… walk. Keep walking.

But when he tried to move, the second man stepped sideways, blocking the path behind him.

Kayden's stomach dropped. He was trapped.

One of them smirked, his teeth flashing under the dim streetlight. "Pretty boy, what are you doing out here all alone at night?" His voice was low, taunting.

Kayden's throat went dry. He swallowed hard, his mind racing for an excuse. "I—I'm just heading home," he managed to say, forcing a shaky smile. "So if you'll excuse me…"

The taller man stepped closer, his shadow falling over Kayden. "Heading home? In this neighborhood? You must be new. Or… careless."

The other chuckled darkly. "Look at him. AirPods in his ears, not a care in the world. He must not know how dangerous it gets out here."
