Chapter 664 - Found the Flaw!

The moment those words left her lips, tears slid down the corner of Xuan Yan's eyes. Then, all of a sudden, he started laughing—wildly, freely, almost madly. After hundreds of thousands of years of waiting, he finally saw a spark of hope. There were too many emotions inside him, all squeezed together for far too long, now bursting out at once.

Song Wanníng didn't interrupt. She just stood quietly beside him and let him vent.

Only when his emotions finally calmed and the demonic aura around them faded did he look at her again, his gaze quiet and firm.

"I believe you," he said slowly, each word heavy and sincere.

Even after being betrayed by the person he trusted most, even after being trapped here for hundreds of thousands of years, he still chose to believe her one more time. He could only hope this trust wouldn't be betrayed again.

Song Wanníng met his eyes directly, her tone solemn as she nodded. "I won't let you down."

From that moment, their alliance was sealed.

The tense hostility between them vanished completely, and the suppression weighing on her body disappeared. Spiritual energy began flowing through her veins once more. She stretched lazily, finally feeling comfortable again.

"Alright, time to get to the main part," she said.

Stepping closer to Xuan Yan, her gaze turned serious.

"Do you know how to reconstruct the world?"

"I do."

He nodded. The resentment he once held toward the Heavenly Dao was gone. Just like Song Wanníng had said—if he could still live until now, wasn't that a mercy from the Heavenly Dao?

Now, his whole focus was on revenge. Rebuilding the world was the first step toward it, and he couldn't afford a single mistake.

"Do you know why I was able to regain my sanity?"

His voice lowered slightly, carrying a hint of mystery. Once someone became a demonic creature, they lost all reason, acting purely on instinct—slaughtering or devouring anything that lived.

For him to regain consciousness couldn't have been a coincidence.

Song Wanníng's brows lifted. Her gaze swept across the surroundings.

"You're saying… there's something off about this place?"

After all, his tomb was built here. That couldn't be random.

"Yeah."

Xuan Yan's eyes darkened with nostalgia. "My father was a master of formations. Even after I turned into a monster, he refused to give up on me. He carried my body across countless lands, until he finally found this place."

Unfortunately, that father of his had long perished, lost in the river of time. He'd never see him again.

For a brief moment, sorrow crossed Xuan Yan's face, but he quickly pulled himself together.

"Come with me."

He waved his hand, and the cave around them shifted.

The once-sealed walls rippled, revealing a narrow passage ahead. The end was shrouded in darkness, but faint movement could be seen inside.

Song Wanníng frowned. Those shapes looked familiar. They resembled the monsters she'd fought before. When they stepped deeper in, her expression changed instantly.

The place ahead was crawling with monsters—countless ones, so many that they blotted out her sight completely. She couldn't even see what lay behind them.

"This place…"

Her eyes widened slightly. She'd thought those creatures had already been wiped out, but it turned out they'd barely scratched the surface.

The real nest was here.

"This is where I first found those monsters," Xuan Yan said.

"Behind them is a spatial rift. Those creatures are crawling out from inside it. And near that rift, there's a space storm constantly devouring this world's Luck and spiritual energy."

He'd known about it long ago, but he'd never intervened. He didn't know exactly how complicated reconstructing the world was, but this flaw had to be connected to the Heavenly Dao's decline.

Their top priority now was to seal that opening.

Song Wanníng's heart sank.

Xuan Yan might not know what that rift truly meant, but she did. It had to be the flaw created by the Mùsù star system. A hole that slowly drained the world's Luck away.

Her eyes sharpened. "Let's take a look. We'll clean out these monsters first, then fix the rift."

There were too many of them blocking the way. Unless they were dealt with, there was no chance of getting close, much less repairing the flaw.

"Got it."

Xuan Yan nodded and charged straight in. All the fury he'd bottled up over countless years erupted now as he tore through the monsters with ruthless force.

Song Wanníng leapt in after him, her attacks precise and relentless.

The little ones followed closely behind, fighting in perfect coordination as they began cutting down wave after wave of monsters.

Meanwhile, far above in the Immortal Realm—

At the Heavenly Chasm, the sealed monsters began stirring again.

They crashed against the barrier like mad, their blood-red eyes sending chills down the spines of the disciples guarding the seal.

The guards quickly sent word back. If the seal broke and those things got out, it'd be a disaster.

These monsters had already mutated. Even immortals found it hard to handle them. They were tough to kill—too tough. That was why the problem had dragged on this long. Just thinking about those endless hordes made the guards' skin crawl.

All they could do was pray nothing major happened.

Inside Wuji Sect's grand hall, Mo Yang Xiānzūn stood silently, sword intent radiating from his entire body. Even the other immortals around him avoided his gaze, not daring to meet it directly.

The hall was filled with people, all gathered after receiving reports of the anomaly at the Heavenly Chasm.

"Those damn monsters, when will they finally disappear?" Wang Yang spat through clenched teeth.

One of his closest friends had died in the last outbreak, leaving him with deep hatred for those creatures.

Mu Zixu stood beside him, his expression detached, as if the whole matter had nothing to do with him. Monsters appearing meant someone else would handle them. As a top grandmaster, he didn't need to fight—he only needed to refine pills.

He was living quite comfortably now. That annoying woman, Song Wanníng, was dead, peace had returned to the lower realm, and his alchemy had advanced even further. He'd even managed to refine a supreme-grade immortal pill before Dao Qing did.

"Xiānzūn, the monsters were suppressed not long ago, yet now they're stirring again. Could it be the seal's weakening?" the Wuji Sect Master asked respectfully.

Each seal in the past had lasted thousands, even tens of thousands of years. But this time, the barrier was loosening far too quickly. Was there something wrong with the method itself?

Everyone in the hall was thinking the same thing.

Mo Yang Xiānzūn's brow furrowed deeply. His sword arts had just advanced, and he hadn't even stabilized his realm when this news arrived. Sword intent still pulsed uncontrollably around him.

But the seal came first.

He looked at the sect master, voice calm but grim.

"Prepare yourselves. A great battle with the monsters is unavoidable."

No matter how strong a seal was, it would fail eventually.

Those creatures couldn't be locked away forever.

Author's Note:

Reiya's Note:

Okay, so I just checked out the intro and tags for this new story, and honestly? I'm totally hooked.

The premise is: The MC, Jiang Shuhe, was the original "favored daughter of heaven"... until her family and sect used her as a pawn and forced her to self-destruct. Reborn back to the moment she fell off a cliff with her senior brother, she gets bound to a super-rich cashback system. The deal is, she gets double her money back every time she "tips" one of those so-called Sons of Destiny.

The system keeps nagging her to please them and make them fall in love with her. But here's the best part from the intro:

Jiang Shuhe smiled faintly. One second, she was dragging her heavily injured body to stuff her last life-saving pill into his mouth.

The next second, she swiftly and decisively plunged her sword into his heart.

Please him? A tool for earning cashback—does he even deserve it?!

And it just gets better from there. Later on...

*A super handsome but tragic demon cultivator gets his dantian destroyed and grabs her by the neck in despair. She feeds him a spiritual medicine... and then immediately beats him up to vent her anger.

*A cold, aloof swordsman she keeps stealing opportunities from? She shoves a priceless treasure into his mouth afterward.

*A sinister demon lord comes for revenge? She kicks his dantian to pieces, feeds him medicine, and then proceeds to whip his corpse. Repeatedly.

The system tells her to build favorability, but she's out there frantically building dislike. After all, the lower the bottom line, the greater the reward!

She basically deals with every prodigy by giving them a slap followed by a sweet treat. She's out here disciplining them like dogs! Everyone says she's crazy, and these geniuses all swear they hate her guts.

That is, until she suddenly disappears one day, and the whole cultivation world is horrified to find that all these geniuses have gone completely mad without her!

As you can see, the premise is amazing, right? Oh, and it's tagged as 'Romance'... but let's be real, I don't think the romance here is your typical "BG relationship" or anything actually romantic. It's like those other stories tagged 'Romance' where the MC stays single the whole time, there's zero actual love story and the tag is just... there.

So, what do you think? Should I translate this? Just so you know, as of today, November 6th, there are already 48 chapters out. Let me know your opinion.
