Chapter 695 - Meeting Feng Jiuxiao Again

Song Wanníng had no choice, she could only agree in the end. So for the next few days, the three of them stuck together.

With the other two leading the way, Song Wanníng walked through the entire sect and even managed to get her face known among the disciples. By now, everyone knew about her so called glorious achievement. That lasted until the day Luo Xingyao received a message from Feng Jiuxiao.

The moment he learned his Master was returning early, he couldn't hold back his grin. He grabbed Song Wanníng's arm and rushed toward the sect gate with her in tow.

Lan Yue's expression changed. She immediately sent Dao Qing a message talisman, asking why he still wasn't back, and her tone carried just a hint of complaint. She liked Song Wanníng's personality a lot, and she really hoped she'd join their lineage instead. As for those junior brothers and sisters of hers, she'd long regarded them as good as dead anyway.

Lan Yue followed them to the gate. The three stood there watching from afar, and sure enough, not long after, Feng Jiuxiao appeared.

They hadn't seen her for quite some time. Feng Jiuxiao looked even more flamboyant and unrestrained than before. She approached like a blazing sun, and everything around her seemed to lose its color. Even Song Wanníng was startled.

The Feng Jiuxiao before her felt completely different from the one she'd met before. It was clear that after improving her formations, Feng Jiuxiao's strength had grown by leaps and bounds.

"Song Wanníng!"

Even from a distance, Feng Jiuxiao burst into laughter. Her laughter was bright and brimming with affection. In a flash, she appeared right in front of Song Wanníng.

"Master!"

Luo Xingyao rushed to greet her, but Feng Jiuxiao didn't even look at him. Her eyes held only Song Wanníng. Her gaze shimmered with excitement and nostalgia. She stared straight at Song Wanníng, unable to hide the intensity of her emotions.

Ever since Song Wanníng returned her inheritance back to her, Feng Jiuxiao studied it thoroughly and her formation skills skyrocketed. Her combat power soared with it. Even in the Wuji Sect now, she walked sideways without fear. And all of that was thanks to Song Wanníng. So she carried a quiet sense of gratitude toward the girl.

Being watched so intensely, Song Wanníng couldn't help smiling. "It's been a while, Senior Feng."

Truth be told, she hadn't interacted much with Feng Jiuxiao, but some people's presence simply felt different. She always felt like she'd known Feng Jiuxiao for a long time, as if they were closer than ordinary acquaintances. Almost like their personalities were naturally in sync.

"It's really been a while." Feng Jiuxiao grinned. "I missed you. You finally ascended.

When I first heard the news, I thought I was hearing things. And tell me, why'd you contact Mo Yang Xiānzūn instead of me after ascending?" She sounded a little jealous.

When she heard that Mo Yang Xiānzūn had brought a disciple back, she'd been curious. The moment she learned the disciple's name, she immediately assumed it was Song Wanníng.

Turned out she was right.

It really was her Song Wanníng.

Song Wanníng let out a helpless laugh. "I didn't even have a message talisman for you."

Feng Jiuxiao knew that, but she still wasn't pleased. She grabbed Song Wanníng's hand and pulled her toward her mountain peak.

"Tell me how you met Mo Yang Xiānzūn."

The two walked hand in hand, warm and close.

Lan Yue and Luo Xingyao were left behind. They exchanged a look, both exasperated.

Especially Luo Xingyao. His Master didn't see him at all now. Not even a glance. He was clearly about to lose favor. He sighed, smiled, and hurried after them.

Lan Yue hesitated for a moment, then followed too. Her Master was returning soon and she couldn't let Song Wanníng be claimed by someone else first.

By the time they reached Zhetian Peak, Feng Jiuxiao already understood everything that had happened.

"No wonder Mo Yang Xiānzūn took so long to return after suppressing the rebellion. I didn't realize so much happened behind the scenes."

Her voice grew serious. The danger back then was definitely much worse than Song Wanníng made it sound. Thankfully everything had ended well.

"You should've told Mo Yang Xiānzūn to call me. If I helped, the formation could've been completed even faster."

She tapped Song Wanníng's forehead, unhappy that the girl treated her like an outsider.

Song Wanníng smiled and played along. "There will be plenty of times I'll trouble you later. No need to rush."

Feng Jiuxiao burst into laughter. She loved how straightforward and bold Song Wanníng was. The girl was exactly her type.

Luo Xingyao finally spoke up beside them. "Master, you haven't discussed the matter of taking her as your disciple."

Seeing his Master so happy, he immediately reminded her of the important issue she'd completely forgotten.

But Feng Jiuxiao only smiled faintly.

"I know she won't take another Master. And I don't want to be her Master either."

She'd only met Song Wanníng a few times, but she understood her very well. Song Wanníng was loyal and principled. She'd never abandon her current sect to join someone else.

"I think we should stay friends, sisters even. What do you think?"

She smiled at Song Wanníng, radiating a free and easy confidence.

Song Wanníng nodded with a laugh. "Sounds perfect."

"What? Sisters?"

Luo Xingyao froze.

His supposed junior sister suddenly became his Martial Uncle?!

His junior sister, gone in an instant.

"Well? Aren't you going to greet your Martial Uncle?"

Feng Jiuxiao shot him a look. He really had no awareness. Aside from formation talent, he was dull as a rock.

Luo Xingyao's mouth twitched. He shot his Master a resentful glance, then obediently greeted her. "Martial Uncle…"

"Don't. Let's keep it simple. Just call me junior sister."

Song Wanníng had just arrived. How could she possibly deserve such a title…

"No. Since you're my sister now, that makes you his Martial Uncle."

Feng Jiuxiao cut her off, then told Luo Xingyao, "Listen to your Martial Uncle from now on and protect her well."

Song Wanníng would definitely grow quickly with her talent. But her formation ability was average, and Luo Xingyao could still help her a lot.

"Yes, Master."

Luo Xingyao nodded gloomily. He thought he'd finally get an amazing, beautiful junior sister, only for her to become his Martial Uncle instead. He felt blood rising in his throat.

Lan Yue was stunned as well. This wasn't anything like what she'd imagined. She didn't know what her Master would do when he returned. Would he also take Song Wanníng as a sister?

After catching up, Feng Jiuxiao handed Song Wanníng a message talisman and an access jade token.

Zhetian Peak was full of formations. Outsiders couldn't enter freely. With the token, Song Wanníng could enter and exit whenever she wanted.

"I'll have Luo Xingyao build you a house later. You can stay here anytime."

Feng Jiuxiao already had everything planned out. With that annoying Mu Zixu in the sect, Song Wanníng would probably run into trouble sooner or later.
