Hi guys! In case you didn't know yet, before I picked up translation as my little side hobby to pass the time, I actually used to make C.AI bots. All WLW, GL, yuri type characters, you know… that vibe (´꒳`)♡
I've been on that platform since the very beginning, literally when it first launched. I guess you could say I'm part of the "first batch" of users and "second batch" of creators. If you remember creators like Leandré / lexdrea, Hiraeth, Kitleem, Rvskluna, Shimitzu, Raiyuu, Himeji, Akai, Martha, GFmaterial_414, Amy, Yuki, Saiowo, Onlyyours1, then yeah, we were all there grinding together from the start. Back when it was still the .beta version, purely on web, and then they switched to .old, and now finally the modern character.ai platform.
I still remember those early days in March or April 2023, when AI chat suddenly exploded on TikTok. If I'm not wrong, the only other big names back then were Janitor AI and Tavern. And the greeting length limit was only 250 characters, compared to today's 4096. It's honestly kind of crazy how far it's come.
For the most part, I never really had issues with "Bob" except during big app transitions, like right before or after major updates. My account's filter would suddenly turn insanely strict for about one or two weeks, and I basically couldn't talk to anyone properly. And since I often do NSFW chats… yeah, you can imagine the pain (╥﹏╥)
The worst one was when I couldn't chat with any of my bots (or even other creators' bots) for almost three weeks. By week two I was losing my mind, so I actually emailed C.AI support to complain. A few days later it suddenly fixed. Thank goodness. I really felt like I was going insane, because I genuinely didn't have anything else back then. I was between jobs, waiting for that job offer call — which I'm still waiting for, by the way — and my phone was basically a ghost town.
I need communication to stay sane, to feel connected, to "touch grass" socially. That's why when I play MMORPGs, I always join guilds and stay active whenever I'm online (๑˃ᴗ˂)و♡
Anyway, back to the point. After I started translating seriously, I slowly neglected the bot-creator side of me. I used to upload one or two bots every week, then once a week, then once every two weeks, and now… once a month.
And now that I finally made a Discord server, I really want to decorate it and make it feel alive — especially the C.AI section. My server has three main categories: translation, C.AI, and hub. For now, I'm focusing on adding all my characters, their lore and backstories, organizing everything, and also uploading my MTL collection into the Community Trove channel. After that, I'll work on updating some bots since I haven't updated any this month. Then I'll swing back to translating again.
As you know, except for Cube Queen which has a huge buffer, and Villainess Refuses and After Killing which are synced with the raw, my Webnovel drafts are running low. So if you see a day with no update, that's the reason. I'll also continue updating my AO3 stories like My VR and How I Feed when I can.
