Chapter 15 - 15: The Last of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen... Died of Sheer Fear

Suddenly, the deafening sound of war drums echoed in the air.

In the blink of an eye, they found themselves high above the clouds.

The misty skies parted, revealing a vast army of one hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals, brandishing dark iron blades, soaring en masse toward the north.

"Where is this place?!"

"It... it looks like we're in the heavens!"

"I remember the storybook Immortalmentioned something like this—people listening to the tale were drawn into the world of the story."

"Don't tell me… are we inside Havoc in Heaven right now?!"

Everyone was visibly excited—none of them expected the tales in the storybooks to turn out real!

Mei Terumi looked around in astonishment. Not far off, atop a floating cloud, a colossal golden palace loomed.

That was the Celestial Palace—just like in Su mu's story.

"Chojuro, hold me—I'm afraid of heights!"

Standing on the cloud beneath her feet, Mei Terumi's legs went weak, and she nearly collapsed.

One hundred thousand heavenly troops darkened the skies with their presence.

The sheer grandeur of the scene left the guests breathless and enthralled.

Looking sideways across the heavens, they saw a figure riding a seven-colored cloud streaking straight into the sky.

Gasps erupted among the crowd. "Look—it looks like a monkey!"

"One man challenging a hundred thousand troops… is that Sun Wukong from Master Su mu's story?!"

Not even a hundred thousand heavenly warriors could rival the Great Sage!

In just minutes, the mighty formation of heavenly soldiers was left in utter disarray.

Countless soldiers fell from the heavens to the mortal realm. Even the strongest generals could not harm Sun Wukong in the slightest!

Jiraiya had gone completely manic, writing away with incredible speed and clarity.

For him, this was pure gold.

As reinforcements arrived, Sun Wukong suddenly flung his golden staff—Ruyi Jingu Bang—into the sky.

He chanted an incantation.

The staff began to grow longer and thicker at an astonishing rate, expanding by the second.

Both Mei Terumi and Tsunade blushed at the sight.

The masked man stared up at the ever-growing staff, his legs giving out as he dropped to his knees involuntarily.

In front of that massive golden rod, he was no more than an insignificant ant.

Was this just scrap iron?

But now, it was far too late for regret.

Su mu gently touched the staff, and it began tilting downward from the depths of the clouds.

The masked man trembled all over. He understood clearly: judging from the trajectory, no matter where he ran, he wouldn't be able to avoid being crushed.

So, he drew the blade from his waist, preparing for one last stand.

"Lightning Style: Sky-Splitting Thunder Serpent!"

He merged with his thunder blade, transforming into a lightning form and rapidly formed hand signs.

Hundreds of lightning-formed serpents slithered toward the staff at blinding speed.

But the golden staff remained unaffected and only fell faster.

As the masked man let out one final scream—

Everyone was abruptly pulled back into the real world.

Everything was exactly as it had been before. Nothing had changed.

Except for one thing: the masked man now lay on the ground, no longer breathing.

His eyes were wide open, bulging as though they were about to burst from their sockets.

It was obvious—he had died from sheer fright.

Su mu hadn't even physically attacked him. The guy's spirit was just too fragile—his soul had been shattered by the sheer might of the Ruyi Jingu Bang.

Mei Terumi was still lost in the lingering illusion of that other world.

Some first-time listeners thought it had all been an illusion technique.

Then one guest noticed that Su mu, up on the stage, was playing with a deep-black iron staff in his hand.

In that moment, the guest's expression grew incredibly animated.

"Th-that's… the Ruyi Jingu Bang?!"

Sumu chuckled, and with a grin, shoved the staff into his ear.

"Ladies and gentlemen, that's the end of today's tale."

"Our establishment will be closing temporarily for renovations. Please return in four days."

Sitting by the window, Mei Terumi stood up and walked to the masked man's body.

Then, she pulled off his mask.

Chojuro, standing nearby, was stunned. "As I thought… it's the last surviving member of the original Seven Ninja Swordsmen—Kurosuji Raiga."

Mei Terumi looked up at Su mu's retreating back and suddenly revealed a suggestive, intriguing smile.

"What an impressive little brother… this big sister doesn't want to let you go~"

"But how can I make you mine?"

"Mr. Su, wait a moment."

Mei Terumi suddenly called out to Su Mu.

Under the gazes of everyone present, she walked straight up to him—Then, without warning, kissed him.

"What the hell?!"

Jiraiya couldn't help but curse aloud.

But Su Mu's reaction was lightning-fast.He snapped open his folding fan and raised it between them just in time.

A thick puff of white smoke hissed out from the side of the fan.

The fan now had a smoking, charred hole in it—from the lava residue left by Mei's kiss.

She licked a bit of molten magma from the corner of her lips, smirking seductively.

"I was merely trying to thank you, Su-sensei, for eliminating a traitor to Kirigakure on my behalf."

"Too bad… you dodged."

Su Mu's lips twitched. Thank him? That was a death kiss! One mouthful of lava and he'd be steamed like a crab!

The audience stared in shock.

Su Mu coughed twice and quickly changed the subject.

"If you really want to thank me, just order a couple more bottles of beer. That's more than enough."

Without waiting for a reply, he turned and walked upstairs.

Mei laughed mischievously behind him.

"Then next time I visit, Su-sensei… you'll have to drink with me~"

At the other end of the tavern, Tsunade was clearing off the table.Having witnessed the entire exchange, her heart surged with a strange, sour emotion.

But she didn't understand why she felt jealous.

"That damn fox vixen... green tea b*tch."

She stormed off to the back kitchen, slamming the dishes into the sink.

Naruto, who was sneaking a bite of food, nearly choked in fear.

The moment Su Mu's Weapon Compendium was made public, it sparked massive upheaval across the shinobi nations.
