"Mom?"
Hinata quietly repeated the word, turning to look behind her but seeing no one. Could he be calling me?
"Um..."
Boruto realized he had spoken too quickly and scratched his head in embarrassment. "Sorry, I got the wrong person."
"Is that so?"
Hinata's beautiful Byakugan (White Eye) looked him over. His appearance, this familiar strangeness, made her—a person who usually grew nervous around strangers—feel no tension at all. It was magical.
"You look so much like Naruto!" This was the first time she had ever spoken so spontaneously to a stranger.
"Ah? No way!" Boruto quickly waved his hands in denial.
Neji turned his head to observe the 'bold' Hinata, then glanced at the unfamiliar boy, and said, "Lady Hinata, let's go inside."
"Okay." Hinata nodded softly.
Boruto then noticed the man beside his mom. Is that my Uncle Neji? Boruto remembered seeing him in photos.
"Hinata~~~"
Outside, a voice quickly approached.
Boruto looked over and saw Ino with a bright smile on her face. Seeing Ino, who was about the same age as his mom, Boruto couldn't help but sigh, "Aunt Ino hasn't changed a bit."
"Hurry up and get inside!" Ino came over and eagerly pushed Hinata through the door.
Then, Boruto heard it.
"Ah~~~ Naruto~!" A high-pitched voice cried out.
Boruto watched, dumbfounded, as Ino happily leaped and hung onto Naruto's back, laughing cheerily like a playful sparrow. Naruto was dressed in a chef's outfit, a spoon in his left hand and a pot in his right, completely unable to resist.
Boruto stared, speechless: Is this right?
So, Aunt Ino liked Dad when they were little? Where is Uncle Sai?
Boruto scanned the living room but couldn't find him. Finally, he turned, urgently looking at his birth mother. His eyes pleaded: Mom, look at Dad! Do something!
But Boruto only saw Hinata sitting motionless on the sofa, her eyes completely focused on the scene. Her eyes were filled only with envy. If only I could do that, too.
But she didn't have that kind of courage!
Seeing his mother remain completely still, Boruto felt he had to do something.
He marched over aggressively and pulled Ino down himself.
"Hey, Aunt Ino, I need to ask you for a favor."
"Aunt Ino?"
Ino, who was a little displeased about being pulled off, was distracted by the title that instantly aged her twenty years.
"Yes, please come with me. There's something over here I need help with."
"Right, Ino, go quickly and help Boruto with whatever it is." Naruto sighed in relief when Boruto showed up.
Ino was then dragged away by Boruto.
Boruto quickly made up an errand to get Aunt Ino out of the way. When he returned to the living room, he spotted two more familiar yet unfamiliar people.
One was the pink-haired Aunt Sakura, who looked virtually unchanged from the future. Wait. Boruto noticed, why is the diamond mark on Aunt Sakura's forehead a circle now? He didn't understand.
The other important person was Mr. Sasuke.
Seeing the pint-sized version of Sasuke, Boruto wore a mischievous smile, finding it very amusing. The cool uncle of the future was now a cool-looking boy. Although still aloof, he was surprisingly much more approachable.
"Young Mr. Sasuke looks handsome too," Boruto muttered softly.
However, his gaze suddenly shifted to Naruto, who was busy in the kitchen, and he unconsciously compared them. "But, he's still a bit behind Dad when he was little."
And so, a question popped into his head: Why does the adult version of Dad look so much worse than Mr. Sasuke? This was a problem he simply couldn't figure out.
Just then, another person appeared at the door.
"Sorry, I'm late."
Boruto turned and saw Aunt Karin, who looked almost exactly the same as in the future. He was about to greet her, but to his dismay, Karin headed straight for Naruto.
"Naruto-sama, let me take over. I can cook too!" Karin's naturally displayed admiration was completely unmasked.
Boruto understood immediately.
He covered his head with his hands, feeling a bit desperate. Dad is too popular! Mom has too many rivals!
Mr. Sasuke was right. Was he truly going to be successfully born in the future?
It was 8:00 PM.
The night deepened, the darkness had fully set in, and the lights came on, decorating Konoha with a luxurious glow.
Inside the large villa, the dinner party officially began.
As soon as they sat down, Boruto watched through gritted teeth as Aunt Ino and Aunt Karin crowded around Naruto, showing him incredible attentiveness.
These two absolutely, positively want to steal Dad!
If this keeps up, will Mom and Dad still end up together?
Will he and his adorable sister still be born into this world?
Boruto sank into a deep worry and frustration!
"Let's eat!" Naruto announced, and dinner began.
Gurgle~~
Boruto's stomach rumbled. After a whole afternoon of training, he was ravenous. However, seeing those two 'aunties,' he felt like he was about to be filled up with anger.
Yet, the aroma of the food on the table still compelled him to take a bite.
The moment the food entered his mouth, Boruto's taste buds instantly exploded! An indescribable sensation flooded his mind.
This... what incredible flavor is this?
Delicious!
It's too delicious!
It was a true delicacy. Boruto was nearly moved to tears that he was lucky enough to eat such wonderful food.
In that moment, Aunt Ino? Aunt Karin?
They didn't matter anymore!
Feast mode, activated!
"Delicious! Dad, your food is unbelievably good!" Boruto couldn't help but praise him. However, since his mouth was stuffed with all kinds of food, all anyone heard was a muffled mmm-mmm~~ sound.
"What did you say?"
"I (mmm) said (mmm)..."
Boruto realized his mistake. After swallowing his food, he said, "Dad, your food is unbelievably delicious!"
"Dad?" x N
Instantly, the eyes of almost everyone in the room turned toward Boruto.
The same blonde hair, the same blue eyes.
These two really look alike!
Everyone paused with their chopsticks in hand. Only Chōji continued to eat heartily, but even he kept glancing curiously between Naruto and Boruto.
"Oh no," Boruto quickly covered his mouth. The food was so good that he'd forgotten where he was.
"Uh, I probably just misspoke," Boruto quickly corrected. "Yes, yes, it's Uncle! Uncle!"
I see.
Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief. After all, Naruto was still so young. How could he have a son who was nearly his age?
In the corner, Hinata seemed to realize something. Instantly, a blush spread across her face like the softest rouge, staining her neck as well. She stubbornly snuck a glance at Boruto.
They do look alike. They really do.
Hinata suddenly felt like her heart was filled with something—sweet, sweet, like honey!
The night deepened.
After seeing off almost all the guests, the large villa grew quiet.
Why 'almost all'?
Because two shameless people had stayed behind.
Boruto looked at the remaining two people with a confused expression. "Uncle Sasuke, Aunt Sakura, aren't you going home to rest?"
Sasuke coolly glanced at Naruto's 'nephew,' and Sakura wanted to explain but kept silent.
It was Naruto who spoke. "Don't worry about them. You go rest!"
And then, Boruto watched as the younger version of his father led the two of them into a room.
?
He immediately ran over and peered through the door crack.
He saw the younger version of his father with one arm around each of them—the three of them had gone to sleep in the same bed!
Boruto didn't understand, but he was profoundly shocked!
He knew very little about such things, but weren't only married couples supposed to sleep in the same bed? He remembered only his mom and dad sleeping in the same bed.
It's over!
Boruto's mind was reeling; he couldn't process it.
Dad's first woman wasn't Mom? It was Aunt Sakura? Did Aunt Sakura like Dad when she was little, too?
At this moment, seeing this scene, Boruto had no idea how he would face Sarada when he returned.
