"How about Eleutherios?" The small kitten, Eleutherios, looked at Samael as he felt the connection between them solidify. A sudden rush of strength entered the kitten as the name was branded to his soul, the very core of his being. A pulse of energy blasted out with the two, now bonded companions, at the epicenter. Samael could feel it. This was a permanent connection. A lifelong bond proven by the Soul Bridge formed between them. With it they could share their strength, know each other's thoughts and feel each others emotions. It wasn't like a normal bond, this was one of the souls. Samael's immense power allowed for the kitten to quickly rise through the Body Refinement Realm reaching all the way to the peak of Tier 0 within hours of being born. Samael continued searching around, fighting any beasts of Peak Tier 0 and stronger. His prowess continued to grow as he wandered for months, gradually heading deeper into the Northern Divide Forest. Eleutherios had only begun waking up in the last few days. He had been adjusting to his rapidly increased cultivation and was now ready to have his first fight. The now slightly bigger kitten jumped down from Samael's shoulder, where it had been resting all this time and began sprinting in the direction of the deeper section of the forest. Samael followed closely behind, wanting to help in case Eleutherios got overwhelmed by his opponent.
Eleutherios soon found himself a beast to test himself against. It was a large lizard-like creature. It had a long slender body, covered in green and white scales. Its large head was dominated by the gaping maw covered in thousands of razor sharp teeth. Though the beast was terrifying in its own right, something was off. It seemed… afraid. Like it was facing a terrible calamity, not a small kitten at the peak of Tier 0. It was backing away despite how much stronger it should be. It's cultivation was at the low Tier 1. The lizard like creature began backing away, but Eleutherios was determined to fight this beast in particular. He rushed at his opponent, aiming to bite a chunk out of the much larger opponent's shoulder. The hide of the beast stopped a lot of the force but in the end it still punctured, creating a nasty bleeding wound. The creature's blue blood poured out of the wound as it continued to try and retreat. Eleutherios went in for another attack, this time using his claws to blind the beast. The attack missed and the creature used the opportunity to counter attack. A hard swipe of the creature's long flexible tail sent Eleutherios flying into a tree. The tree shattered from the force of the impact as Eleutherios had hit the tree faster than the speed of light. The very world seemed to quake around the two beasts as they continued fighting. Soon all the trees in the surrounding 4 miles were gone and a deep crater had formed as a consequence of their fierce battle. The two blipped around in the crater, every impact reshaping the world around them.
Eleutherios soon managed to get a firm grip on the long neck of the lizard-like creature. He bit down hard, ripping out a large chunk of the neck and throat. The now incapacitated creature was then dispatched with a hard bite to the back of the skull. Despite being just a small kitten in form it had killed a creature that should be far stronger than itself. Eleutherios began eating the large lizard, taking huge chunks of flesh, larger than himself off with each bite. His stomach seemed like an endless pit as he devoured the entire lizard. It had been several times larger than Eleutherios but in just a few minutes there weren't even bones left. The kitten jumped back into Samael's shoulders and laid down to rest and digest his large meal. *You should've told me you were hungry, Eleutherios. I would've gotten you something nutritious. You're just a small baby after all.* The kitten looked up at Samael, rolling his eyes and then went back to sleep.
Samael began walking back towards the village, but something felt off. As he got closer to the village he could feel the energies in the air become more chaotic, like someone had recently used powerful Cultivation Arts in the area. *I have a bad feeling about this. Something's very wrong, I have to hurry.* Samael began sprinting towards the village, the ground, breaking beneath his feet as he rushed to get back to the village. *Please let me be wrong, please let me be wrong, please….* Soon Samael made it back to the clearing. A sudden shockwave sent him flying back as two powerful figures floated in the air. They seemed to teleport around as they fought, flinging powerful Cultivation Arts at each other and weapons clashing. The sound was jarring, almost incomprehensible to Samael as he looked at the battle. It was like space was unraveling around them while they fought, sword against spear, Art against Art. "SPACE BREAKER!!!" The words rang out as the man thrust his sword forward. The blade tore a hole through the very space around as it moved towards the young woman he was fighting. *How terrifyingly beautiful. It's like the very fabric of space is heeding their command, fighting on their behalf.* Samael stood there, in the middle of the clearing, unable to move away from the battle. His body was locked in fear as these titans clashed. He continued looking on, unable to believe the power of the two combatants. Soon however, they came to a stop and began speaking.
"Young lady, you are very strong. I am Eltaeron Soulborn, eldest son of the Patriarch of the House of Soulborn. How about you join the House of Soulborn as an honorary elder. You'd have complete freedom to do what you wish, only needing to move if the family is in dire need of your assistance. You'd receive cultivation resources unlike anything you've ever seen." "No" the young woman, who Samael now reformists as Sarah. "My cultivation may be sealed to the peak of the Chaos Core Realm, but I will not be taken advantage of by some weakling in this small Dimension. Heed my words young man, you may hold power here, but you are nothing to the real monsters lurking in the shadows. Requiem of a Shattered Star…" A void seemed to form between the two. It grew, folding the very dimensional fabric they existed within, before devouring it. The young man was locked in place as his very existence was devoured by the black hole. There was no scream, no sound, nothing. Just an empty void left behind as the man was devoured, turned to energy for Sarah.
