I see you've finally woken up.
Michaelus Seraphyx now repositioned on the couch hears from his left and he looks in the direction the voice is coming from, he gets a real good look at the woman, she is standing on the bottom half of what looks like a staircase to the upper side of the house, arms folded over the railing, she's a Japanese woman with fiery red hair tied into a ponytail and purple eyes.
"And who are you supposed to be, oh kind savior of the once mighty Michealus Seraphyx?"
Michealus questions the woman, sarcastic essence dripping from his tone dramatically as he basically introduces himself to the strange woman who dared to help a dangerous looking man.
"The name's Auriel Amaterasu and it seems you've come out of a scuffle with my nephew, Phenics Amaterasu and his childhood friend Yuki Yuuki and you survived, impressive, congrats on that."
The woman, now revealed to be Phenics' younger aunt introduces herself to Michealus, big white angel wings unfurling behind her, an angelic glow surrounding her.
"Wait, you're the aunt of the fire brat?! I suppose it all makes sense now, the fiery red hair and purple eyes, how ironic."
The irony as Michealus mentions is not lost on him, to think the aunt of the very teenage demi-spirit who is part of the duo that purified him back into an angel would help him in his time of need.
"I would advise against trying any strenuous movement, like say, getting up from that couch, now stay put."
Auriel says advisingly, To hell with that, I'm leaving Michealus thinks to himself, he didn't feel the need to kill the children of fire and ice, not yet anyway, but he did feel the need to help them against the other Fallen Generals, after he repays his dept to them for purifying him and getting him out under the command of the abusive demon lord tho, well then all bets are off for sure.
"Argh!"
He screams out in pain as his ribs and upper left thigh protest under the pressure of him trying to get up, sending him reeling backwards and collapsing back onto the couch in a pained heap, he then hears Auriel say something that sounded suspiciously like the woman is laughing disbelievingly at the whole situation, she then reappears with a plate of Takoyaki and proffers it to him.
"Let me reiterate, that Star Burn Ice combo? You're lucky you got out of it alive, albeit barely, they practiced it back then at five years old and haven't missed a beat, now, as I said, stay put."
Meanwhile back in Neverenden.
Kurokaze and Setsuna do as Dante asked and transform into their demonic battle forms, Dante whistles impressed.
"Those forms are no doubt Phenics Amaterasu and Yuki Yuuki's twist on battle forms for the two of you, now, what exactly are your names if I may ask out of curiosity?"
Dante asks the two steeds.
"I am Kurokaze, steed of Phenics Amaterasu and his divinely subjugated battle partner, completely loyal to him, I'm his ride or die, I'll lay down my life for him ten out of ten times."
Kurokaze introduces himself easily, the reverence for his subjugator evident and in his tone of voice.
"And I'm Setsuna, completely loyal steed and battle partner of my master, Yuki Yuuki, I'll die for her if I have to, she need just say the word and I'll protect her with my very life."
Setsuna follows, her own reverence for her subjugator bleeding into her almost emotionless, barely emotive voice.
"Say, children of fire and ice, Phenics Amaterasu and Yuki Yuuki, if I may be so forward, I'd like to tap into your steeds' minds to access their memories and recover their real names, may I?"
"Go ahead" - (Phenics)
"I really don't see why not" - (Yuki)
Not wasting another second Dante walks through the space between the duo as they part to make way for him, he places a hand atop each steed's head, his eyes start glowing ethereally , one a bright and fiery red and the other a bright sky blue, memories speed by in his mind backwards, he hears echoed utterances of their real names, he lifts his hands, turning to the subjugators.
"Names are revealed to me, Asherion and Chryselia of Abyss Exterminator Squad three, former squad mates under Efreet Mikealson, Lieutenant under Captain Jinkazu Pakuro himself."
A loud "JP-Sensei?!" is heard from everyone else present, except for the now former Asherion and Chryselia seemingly uncaring about the revelation of their former heavenly positions.
"Wait, the teach used to be the captain of Abyss Exterminator Squad three? Next you'll tell me Efreet Mikealson is that Michealus Seraphyx guy me and Yuki nuked back on Earthen."
Silence falls over all parties involved in the conversation and a disbelieving "What? No way!" is heard from Phenics and a suspiciously annoyed "gosh darn it!" from the mouth of one JP-Sensei.
"I see now, JP-Sensei, you knew something we didn't, didn't you? That's why you didn't lift a hand against him, cause he's your former lieutenant, we didn't actually kill him, did we?"
Yuki pieces it all together, accusation bleeding into her tone, not angry accusing, accusing yes, but only because she finally figured it out, if she was honest it'd been weighing on her mind.
"In any case, now that the cat is out of the bag I want to let you two know that I also took the liberty of unlocking some of your steeds' latent former angel powers while scanning their minds."
Dante drops another truth bomb on them, a "That's way awesome!" is heard from Phenics and a "That is acceptable." from Yuki, a "That's... that's... wow." from Kazuya and an "Ooh" from Miko.
"Now, children of fire and ice, I'd like to test your teamwork and synergy in a sparring match if it behooves you, and believe me, I promise you, it does, actually you have no say in it, ready?"
Phenics and Yuki share a look with each other, unsure of themselves, but then their resolve strengthens, they can see it in each other's eyes, they nod to each other and turn to Dante and nod at him, suddenly ten huge square icy panels form around them without a word from Dante, but still no doubt his doing and they form an "arena" of sorts around the three combatants, locking them inside.
The ten ice panels glow with snowy white and fiery reddish yellow runes seemingly randomly interspersed with each other, the "arena" being a three by five metres area, the only opening was behind Dante, otherwise the "arena" enclosed them all, an ice ball then shoots from the back left panel and a fire ball from the back right panel, the balls hurtling towards them.
The duo then evaded by doing simultaneous backflips, Phenics arcing over Yuki with Yuki criss crossing under him, resulting in them landing back to back, albeit a half a metre apart, then they turned their facads to Dante and start running towards him in the form of an intersecting vanishing point, their astral armor appearing over their forms hundred percent faster than usual.
As the two teens were running towards Dante an ice ball was suddenly sent hurtling towards Phenics and a fire ball the same, but on a collision course with Yuki, the two balls exploded against the teenager's sides upon impact, sending them crashing into each other's sides and collapsing in a pained heap, Kazuya and Miko, seeing(sensing) exactly what happened both exclaimed.
"Ooh ouchie owie" - (Miko)
"That's gotta hurt" - (Kazuya)
Meanwhile Kurokaze and Setsuna were hovering a bit off the ground, their partially unlocked angel powers resonating with Phenics and Yuki's own quarter angel energy since the start of the match, Yuki and Phenics lie in a plus shape over each other with her laying over his torso, Yuki lifts herself up onto her hands and knees and Phenics props himself up on his elbows and flushes.
"You, you... Now isn't the time for this... I mean... stop hovering over me, tch, woman get up off me already!"
Phenics stammers out in protest, not wanting to be in such an embarrassing position with his childhood crush.
"Cut it out with the flustered bluster, birdbrain, now's no time to be freaking out over a little physical contact."
Yuki says, sounding a little miffed at Phenics' protests this time, even if they are in the middle of a sparring match.
"Tch, I... sorry, you are right, now is no time for this, time to keep our eyes on the goal post, please forgive me, Yuki."
Phenics says, apologizing for the first time for his insecurity over his crush on Yuki, she knew that's what he meant.
"No, there is nothing to forgive, Phenics, you did no wrong, regardless, let's keep our heads in the game."
Before Phenics could reply a fire blast and an ice blast respectively shot out from the front right and back left panels onto a collision course with them, Yuki executes a forward dodge roll over Phenics while Phenics himself executes a tucked sideways roll from under Yuki, narrowly avoiding the elemental blasts which collide with their previous positions.
The two then get up and instinctively grab each other's hands while standing back to back, they both lift up a hand and an ice and fire storm erupt from them respectively and it becomes a mixed vortex, engulfing the whole "arena", Dante, Phenics and Yuki, obliterating the panels.
