Chapter 41 - 41- Night life peak

The club was full of people when they arrived, it seemed Orion's word was indeed true, "The nightlife is indeed crazy." Calista made her way through the sweating bodies.

"Thompson need this more than we do." Orion had muttered with furrowed brows in concern as gis cousin throw back a shot at the bar.

"Let him drown his sorrows for tonight," she replied and scanned the room, her eyes caught the man whose eyes caught hers. He lifted his glass in a silent toast from where he sat.

He beckoned her over with his pointer finger. Calista responded with a nonchalant shrug. But, the man wasn't having that, he stood with easy grace. As the distance between them closed, the music seemed to swell.

"Hey, I'm Tristan," he shouted, his voice barely audible above the music.

"Calista." She introduced herself, her name sounding like a secret meant for one pair of ears alone.
